Title: Hi all
Post by: pritch33 on February 25, 2014, 04:35:07 PM
Hi the name is Ray. As like most here I had a misspent youth playing arcade games and pinball.
A couple of years ago  I thought it time to revisit that youth and purchased a Jurassic park pinball and recently built a MAME cabinet.
My pinball is a little ruff and needed some repairs as a set of lights that where not working and was getting the better of me so I started searching for somewhere to find help and found this forum and greatly appreciated the help I received immediately.

G'day mate, I've only been here a few days but welcome.
My story is probably much the same as yours, got a pinball for a wedding present and got hooked.
I've got two pins now (time machine & pharaoh project)
and two upright arcade machines from the 80's ( one jamma one neo geo)

I've had to learn fast how to fix them as I couldn't find anyone to service them where I live.
I've found most things are a simple fix and not to be scared when things go wrong ( most times its just a.wire off)  but it's overwhelming when u first start hey mate

Post some pics of your pin.

Thanks Swinks.
Hey flipping mad it certainly is overwhelming. I remember the first time I opened up the pinball and thought WTF, I could not believe the array of components and wiring inside the thing so I shut it up and just played but it has come time to do something about my problem.
I will get some pics when its back in one piece but as I said it is a little ruff around the edges but I still enjoy playing it.
Mame cab was so much easier to do.
My next project is hopefully a visual pinball cabinet, but will be a while yet due to funds and working out the software.
