rumour came out 2 days ago and looks to be announced formally in the next few days.
It would seem that they are partnering up with JPop as they are going to make and deliver the 12-13 Magic Girls to the original out of pocket owners which is a good thing.
They are also going to release a game called "Houdini-Master Mystery" which looks like might be a tweaked Magic Girl.
With all these companies we just need some competitive prices now....
But this all could be a big hoax as Pinside's old friend Kaneda is linked somehow so could playing massive jokes.
-
this is a shot of the proto of Magic Girl and then a sketch of apparently the Houdini game, though could be the reworked Magic Girl as the new cabinets now have 2 flipper buttons on each side so could have the playfield re-worked as well ????
-
Sounds like an awesome theme to me and the mind boggles what they come up with.
This company is copping a slaying on other forums and I hope they can come up with the goods.

Interesting - and a bold move. A seemingly finished game "Houdini" and more on the way. The only way I would feel comfortable with this setup is if the collectors that invested in JPOP's previous projects (Magic Girl etc) have delivered games on their doorstep. Will be interesting to see how this progresses.
Certainly, pictures of complete games assists with sales - but those that lost out need to be looked after.

Love the theme, the layout, the artwork and that massive clear ramp. Certainly has more of a B/W feel to it.

Looks great. Artwork reminds me of CV.
And a non movie based theme.. how refreshing!

American Pinball has sent out letters to the investor / collectors of Magic Girl notifying them that the game is almost ready to ship.
Gameplay video
Originally there was only going to be 16 games but American Pinball have increased that to 25 probably to offset the cost of building on behalf of bankrupt Jpop

Magic Girl has been delivered to a number of people - game play videos

Looks like the art is heavily borrowed from ToTAN and ToM - But it does look GREAT. Seems to play well. Not sure what is going on with the top section of the playfield. Out of all the boutique machines, this is the one I like the most.
