There's unlimited and there's unlimited.

Some companies only offer 2G, not 3G or 4G etc

Telstra unlimited on 3G and 4G for $87 per month but incl free router modem and incl calls and incl monthly service charge to have the free landline phone they give n connect.
My contract is up very soon so will look for a better deal again.

You have to watch if u get slow 2G or the faster 3 or 4 G etc .

I got the home landline plus AdSL3+ min plus ph line n calls incl plus unlimited addl3+
For apx $88 month.
Telstra changes deals all the time. Sometime better, sometimes worse.
Usually only Telstra can give much faster than Adsl2+. They seem to hog all the capacity on the networks.

Im with Optus and get all landline calls inc interstate.. 1 terra byte download plus Fetch TV for $90 a month.
It used to be really good but as more people switch over the internet slows down a bit around 4pm to 6pm when the world seems to be Facebooking

I have been using the net since 1997, and tried a few....been with internode now for ten years as I have found the service almost flawless. I have a bundled plan with telephone as my wife likes to keep a landline, $79.00 pm with 250GB. Call costs seem to add about five or six dollars a month for us.probably not the very cheapest out there, but reliable. I think I have probably had one or two short outages (ie a few hours) in the last five years.

Yeh its a bundle package... my wife sorts it all out and rings Optus up telling them we can get a better deal with XXXX and if they don't beat it we'll switch. They just locked us in for a year I think... probably getting sick of the bartering..LOL.
No mate... weve not even come close to that download amount

Problem with DODO is you can ONLY deal with an Indian call centre no matter what your problem. The name says it all - I wouldn't use DODO if they supplied it FREE!!!

Internode all the way (for about 7 years now) - tried seveal others and they all sucked in some way. Internode have a 24/7 technical help line answered in Melbourne staffed by IT engineers. I have used this service several times and they are BRILLIANT!

I was with iinet for 8yrs but when I moved around the corner Telstra was the only one that could supply ADSL2+ so I didn't really have a choice and went with their top plan. I use the whole 500gb most months.

Towards the end of my time with iinet the call center was South Africa and while the poeple were extremely kind and happy on the phone when it came to problems on Telstra's end they didn't have a clue.
You can't beat talking to the locals that's for sure.

A long time ago in the past when 56k was standard I was with a mob called Corplink.
Then the old man got Foxtel which lead to Cable internet....
Have it at my place now and it is the best for speed and no phone line. Plans are limited and you have to deal with Telstra.....
Currently $60 for 80G

Simon.
