Getting really exciting now. Can't wait to meet the people here and also Michael Shalhoub who has helped me out heaps. I have never been to Sydney before, hope I don't end up in Kings Cross by mistake  *)*

] Got some good news for you Tony on your System 80a board when you get back online

Dean,

Just got back from Expo, what a day. Reminded me of the old Alladins Castle arcade at Glenelg SA in its hey day, heaps of pinballs and people. This was a massive success and served its purpose of introducing more people to pinball.

To receive this news about the boards just tops it off. Thanks very much for your efforts, much appreciated. Also got to see my Rocky Backglass that Gavin (Retropin) restored, unbelievable quality - very happy with the finished product.

Great to put faces to names today.

This forum is a real credit to the people involved #*#

Tony

Yes.  Didn't ask about BG yet.  Sorted me out, thx again.

Having looked at the Rocky Backglass done by Gavin, there may be a better option for me!  Will wait for him to get back and dust to settle!

Just got home from the dinner. A great night (that is still going) to catch up with the AP gang.
A lot of effort went into the night- thanks to all concerned!
Wanted: GTB Aquarius backglass. Any playfield bits and backglasses from any EMs - nothing is junk to me.

What a great night. Met some real nice people who are interested in pinball ...just like me.  Makes me think of what this event could become in the future.

What a day.

In a word - success!

Will post in full tomorrow - awesome finally meeting lots of people on this forum, lots of AP shirts (they looked excellent and really stood out).

Most importantly it was all POSITIVE!

There was over 1,000 people come through the door on Saturday - what an amazing result!

Have to say also that there was alot of positive vibes, both sets of guys from both forums mixed real well.

There was no BS, just a bunch of middle age men together for a common cause  :lol

Highlights of the day (and what a long day - 12 hours!) was meeting guys from both AP and AA, having a chat with Alan Tate who was down for the day and just looking out over the sea of people (lots of kids) playing pinball and geeting to see and play CI...what an effort! That game was played ALL day and didn't miss a beat. It generated alot of interest  *%*

And lads - you should of seen Gav's Rocky backglass - OMG

There were bargains - best were N.O.S. Gottlieb EM coils....for FOUR DOLLARS each. Needless to say there is enough now in my shed to last the rest of my life  *%*

I couldn't get to the auction at the expo today. If someone was there and recorded the prices fetched, could they post them please.

I got a little chubby when I saw the Rocky glass.  Top stuff.  Good to meet a few more AP boys at expo too.  A great time had by all it seems.  Finally met Christian and played CI as well.  Fun all round.  Thanks for a good weekend.
Dave.
Do, or do not.  There is no try.
