Okay - was thinking about Nino's comments on door / rail refinishing in an eBay thread.
Looks like Pro Football has the side rails mirror polished.
The coin door and entry plate are "grained" with the grain running horizontally.
The lockdown is grained same as the coin door. So it's different to the rails?
Legs are painted grey.
Does this make sense? And is it correct?
And no mate - haven't looked at the reels yet.
Miss 11's birthday party / lots-of-friends sleepover today. @@^

You have my attention ^^^
I don't remember any NIB EMs. I'm not that old.. %.%
Last year, I did a prtial restore on a Drop A Card and the owner (Slammer) wanted the front section completely rebuilt. So I ordered an entire front door. It arrived with a chrome finish. It is the same part number as a Pro Football.
So the front door to a 70's GTB EM is in fact chrome
Legs are 31 inch chrome
Side rails - need to get back to you on that - but my Jacks Open EM were defintely grained. I'll check with one of my Pro Footballs tomorrow. I expect they are grained stainless steel.
Lockdown bar is definitely grained. THe siderails "should" be the same.
Bally EMs and SS had grained side rails, door and lock down bars.
Hope that helps.

Thanks Nino - seems to be different to what I have...
Think I will be off to see the bumper bar man... (Chrome shop in Dandy) &&
I just noticed a metal "anti theft" insert in the rhs of the door opening? (To stop you jamming a screwdriver behind the door lock)
Is that a repair - or something from gottlieb? (Looks factory - very nice job)
