Some people mentioned 3D printing in a thread awhile back, a manufacturer created spare parts for AFM.
There is a half hour program on ABC News 24 (channel 24) Friday at 8pm AEST called News Exchange looking into the process for those who are interested.
I'm sure if you forget to set the DVR you can see it here afterwards http://www.abc.net.au/news/programs/news-exchange/ (http://www.abc.net.au/news/programs/news-exchange/)
