Went to the cinema nova the other night and noticed a pin inside Brunetti, a fancy cake/baked goods store. Oh my the place was busy.
Shame that it had a sign up, do not play/Touch. It looked to be complete and in great condition.

Unusual find in the wild!

That looks in better condition than some of the new Sterns in the wild.

Obviously a display machine as they are illegal to operate in Victoria. You can own them as part of a personal collection, but you cannot operate them. These Bally Bingos are part of the history of Lygon st (Little Italy). Every single Coffee Shop had at least 2 of these games in the back room. Most arcades in Carlton were a "front" to a gambling room out the back with card tables and several Bingos. They were immensely popular and rivaled pinball numbers in the northern suburbs.
Sadly, these machines were legalized in the early 90's. The "Betting and Gaming" squad were formed under Neil Trezise (sp) during the failed Kirner Government. The gaming squad never proved that they were not a game of chance and luck, but they were still destroyed in huge numbers. I know my Father threw almost 100 in the tip. He did keep some backglasses and craploads of parts.
