Been away for apx 4 or 5 months.
Didn't look at the AP site like I used to daily. Was too busy fighting fires. Had apx 50 pages to catch up on reading. That took 2 x entire days. Phew.
Four or five months ago, I got separated/divorced after 17 yrs marriage. Pretty sad.
I have my 4 yr old son fulltime, there was no way he wasn't coming with me 100 percent.. The X took the 12 yr old daughter n didn't want the son at all.
Women go nuts with early menopause at 35 etc.
In all, its been a lousy 2013. I bought 3 new Sterns during 2013, and that was great things/highlights, plus some other machines....that was the upside, the downside was after 3 medical operations n being in n out of hospital for 2 or 3 week stays at a time, the wife didn't like the fact that huge money wasn't flowing her way like it had been when I was running the Security business 6 days a week. Prissy princess had it good for 16 n a half years, the last 6 months she had to stick to a budget.
Somewhere along the way she forgot the "thru sickness n in health, thru good times $ n in bad times $".
She thought she could pressure me whilst I was in n out of hospital to sell half my pinball collection and give her fifty grand for a new car or she would leave.
I said see ya later, the pinballs are staying. Extortion didn't get her anywhere. All her man hater girlfriends told her to kick me whilst I was down, it didn't work.
I kept every pinball n said goodbye to someone I loved n adored, but some people change overnight n just go off in a tangent for absurd reasons.
Every dollar I spent on a pinball in the last 5 years, she got the same $$ for whatever she wanted to spend her money on. Greed comes in all shapes n forms, n her manhater girlfriends wanted to borrow $$ from me, I said no way hosay, I have only known u a few weeks, why would I lend u 25 grand or more n u have no business plan etc.
In the end, the wife thought she would side with her friends n just keep the pressure on, it didn't work.
Best to be happy n single with pinballs, than to be unhappy, without any pinballs, than with someone who just wants to spend n waste my lifetime of hard work n savings. Her girlfriends never had any plans to ever pay me back. That was a given.

Raise him well.
His mum didn't bother ringing or visiting him for his 4th birthday on dec 19, or for xmas. Sad. But when some women get nasty, they do crazy stuff.
Will thin the pinball collection out again, buy some new Sterns, n will pop in the AP site from time to time.
Motto of the year. You never see a pinball cheat or take off on you. Mans best friend isn't a dog, its a pinball machine.lol

Wow, that's sad to hear. What sort of mother would not contact their 4 year old son on his birthday or for Christmas? At least it sounds like he has a great dad.

I don't hate the X, but I hear wat u r saying pete. I hate that she destroyed the family unit n hurt the kids.
I loved n adored her for 17 plus years, never spent a night apart in all those years once, but she decided that
she would be better off without the 3 yr old son who she hated in the end, then blamed me for it, plus the money hungry grabbing etc.
She just wanted to be 19 again n not 36 n not have a young boy to care for. Her social life with her 20 man hater girlfriends was more important.
If she wasn't getting handfuls of cash she was unfriendly. Sad, but I will look after my son til I hit the man hater biased family law court. That will be
a circus for sure.
I went their (family law court) recently, n a guy had a sign, it said "Attention all men, leave your balls at the door, or the man hater female magistrates up on XX level will rip them from you before u never see your kids again".
I think the man had been thru the system. And it is, all badly biased against men. My experience so far is dead on wat the fellows sign said for sure.
Anyway, I will fight to the death, n play pinball with my son to mellow out.lol

Hey Brett. Really sorry to hear about the shit your going through. I really gope u get to keep your son you obviously love him a great deal more than the ex. what sort of creature wouldnt even sebnd a b.day or x.mass card to their own 4yr old son? Hopefully when it all pans out karma will come back and bite her where it hurts. all the best mate i hope you and your boy can move on and keep smiling.

I can always count on you Daz for your sensitivity.lol (not).......
I don't think the kids in these situations grasp the shit happens meaning, more like lots of nights of crying themselves to sleep n missing each other n the family unit.
But yes, anyone who has been thru this has no choice but to try n move on n always focus on the mental stability of the kids.
My son is loved from 5am to 8pm like a king. That makes me proud n I know in my heart that I am doing the absolute best any dad can do.
Playing pinball helps. Tonight we are up a little late, watching the first X Men movie so my son understands my X Men Pro machine better. He is loving it.
He know knows what the large Wolverine and Magneto toys are n who they represent, plus the names on the modes like sabretooth n storm etc etc etc.
I do miss my 12 yr old daughter badly, I used to tuck her in everynight with a kiss n a cuddle, nasty x wife hasn't let me see her for almost 5 months, or her little brother see his sister. Shame someone u thought you know so intimately (wife) turns into a different person over a few weeks.
But I will stay positive n hope for the best for the future. If only my daughter loved pinball, she might run away to play the pinnys n stay over n not go back.lol

Over n above the friendly n helpful comments from the great members of this forum, I want to say a big thanks to those guys who also sent me some PMs both on the site n to my personal email.
Hard to get over someone u loved every day for 17 yrs, but I will get there. The heart will probably stay heavy for a long time to come, but I guess I will just look back at the 17 great years n be thankful for that. My 4 year old son keeps me so busy, I don't get a second to stop. We are looking for a new daycare centre for him cause I moved about 20 kilometres from my previous house.
Seeing 40 machines in storage n not being played is also heartbreaking.lol
I know a Japaneese guy on youtube who has fitted about 30 machines into his 2 storey 3 bedroom townhouse (must be a world record) but stairs n my 44 yr old back are not that keen.lol
I will let the Japaneese guy on youtube keep the honours for the best pinballed out townhouse in the world.
I still have my massive spa bath that's in my new single garage with Gilligans n Fishtales looking on. In the townhouse is ACDC, X Men, Star Trek 25th n Starship Troopers. That's something at least. Maybe I will just have to rotate them.lol But paying $75 a week to store machines sux.....wat else can I do.lol

It would be cheaper to let friends that are members to look after. them brett( if they have the space) and at least youd know they would be looked after.

I am sure over the years some of these lucky guys who worked at Williams n Stern etc have thrown a naked girl on a pinny n tried to give her one....or two.

It wouldn't happen at JJP but, because they are a family orientated only company. Everyone on the line probabaly reads a bible during their breaks if Jack had his way (only kidding).......You can only look at Dorothy 400 times before the hard on dissapears, and most people hate having sex whilst a dog (toto) watches on....
The hell raisers at JJP can be sorted out quickly, cause they would rather bend over the wicked witch. But again, imagine 20 midgets popping up into your bedroom whilst you are trying to get down n busy..... ^&^

2 sides to every story.. I too have been accused of not ringing my son on his birthday and ignoring him, but then again, the phone was pulled out of the wall and the present I sent went " missing"... my ex wife could say that I didn't want anything to do with him... I could say something completely different.
Not saying that this is the case here.. but each story has 2 sides and in a break up neither side is completely innocent and in the middle are the children who are affected most... more often than not, its the children who are used as weapons to hurt the other person.
As for family court.. ive been there at a cost of $24000... if you are trying to prove that your ex wife is an unworthy mother then you have no chance in hell unless there is documented proof of abuse etc... it also works the same way to prove an unworthy father... seeing as you have a 12yr old who was obviously brought up OK ( or you would have taken your ex to court before), then the court will assume that all was OK until the break up and sour grapes dictate the agenda now.. happens all the time.
Good luck with whatever comes up.. I hope the children come out of this well balanced.
But I agree with Cow... this is not really the place to air dirty laundry.. there are mens groups that are for this purpose, you may be better contacting one of them

In a better place than you are now is the answer to that Brett. You have already written off Family Court as some male hating establishment and will therefore make any effort through them with the wrong attitude. My experience was the complete opposite, I represented myself on most occasions ( some 8 appearances all up) and won every time. My ex did not have any rulings made in her favour.
Why? I took advice on how to do it and it was through a mens group that I got that advice.
So instead of spouting on here about your issues.. you need to instead direct your energy to more positive forms of advice and LEARN how to approach the path you are about to undertake.
Be sarcastic all you like, but the advice I gave you here is the best you will get and will do you great favours in the near future.

went to a family law court solicitor on day one.
went to a open mens sitdown forum/regular meeting on day 4 (some 5 months ago).
every bloke in the place had been reemed by female magistrates.
sat down with a serving magistrate recently at the pub across the road from the courthouse after hours n he told my why men are still getting screwed daily by docs n the system. there is still a 1950's idea amomgst the women (who form 90 percent of the family law staff everywhere) that kids shld be with mothers.
sounds like u got lucky gav. I am going in n thru the process right now n nothing has shown me yet in any way shape or form that the 1950's attitudes haven't receeded. when the women don't turn up for the fathers turn with the kids, no one does a thing, when the husband keeps the kids the police turn up. a very sad state of affairs in QLD still right now today.
Docs warn mums, docs charge fathers with the most outrageous things to keep kids with mothers. system is a sham.
women get free legal at magistrates court n family law, men have to pay. say no more. sexist n blatantly biased.

The only winners are the solicitors in all of this. My Bride is a legal assistant with a family law solicitor. She, yes the solicitor is female, charges $420 per hour. My wife earns about $200 more than that for 4 days work. I couldn't believe it when she told me. She put her hourly rate up to try to reduce the number of new clients that were approaching her, it didn't change a thing.
