Title: WTB - Williams EM playfield plastic acorn nuts.
Post by: Klondike on January 20, 2015, 01:22:57 AM
Hi,
Does anyone have any of the old metal with the coloured plastic domed acorn nuts...the ones that hold the playfield plastics in place. I'm finally fixing up my Williams Skylab '74 and need about 25 of these nuts. The one that I have found has a purple plastic tip on a metal nut but any colour tip  would do.
Cheers  <..>

Not sure if rtbb have them. I bought metal ones and white plastic ones. Tried his site just now but he's gone fishing. Maybe wait until he is back

On a footnote : I think they are one of the nice's touches ever in pinball , And really made the Williams games stand out. Each game has its own colour type ... Not sure if they are available anymore. I have a few from some wreckers but  rusty most of them ... Good luck finding the one's you need...

let me know if you get stuck and have no luck finding as I could possibly design a plastic one and make it available in a strip of 10 on a branch to get the price down (have learnt that making branches greatly reduces prices as it is considered one part with one handling fee) from Shapeways in about 9 different colours.

White, Hot Pink, Red, Orange, Pale Yellow, Forest green, Blue, Purple

Not having much luck yet...what you're talking about making sounds like a great alternative to the original. I have the yellow tip ones on my Klondike and the one I do have on Skylab is a navy blue / purple colour.
