Title: fixing coil lugs
Post by: pinball god on April 26, 2015, 08:10:39 PM
See the attached photo. This came out of my rfm, the right flipper was doing some chattering and found the orange wire off with part of the lug still attached. Coil is still good, but the lug is quite short now. Is there a way of repairing it. I got rid of the spade connectors as they were soldered to standard coil and were causing to break the lugs. So the new coil is connected as per the old dmd way.

Just solder to the shorter lug rob and make sure the coil winding and diode are still connected. Get rid of the soldered spade terminals and solder direct.
