Not sure what this clip is for - thought it might be for spare key to hang, wrong ? !@#

Your welcome.     Those hooks really piss me of the amount of times ive drilled a lock to find a set of spares hanging on that hook  ^.^

Did they have the same key for the front entrance & the backbox ?

Occasionally, but most times they are different.
