Doesn't officially open till tomorrow but new Bar/Diner/Arcade open in Brisbane city corner of Brunswick st and St Pauls Terrace (opposite The Den).
Old QLD pub that has seen a few years and still retains the old ceramic tile horseshoe bar.
From what I can gather.. craft beer at the front, food and arcade at the back. I made some neon for the joint and will be siting a 50's/60's pinnie at some stage. VERY cool place with full on arcade at the back. Excuse the crap pictures, but im sure you get the jist...

It's the old Shamrock pub at the top of the valley, we played quite a few gigs there in the 90's.
Might pop in and have a look at some stage, I just hope the craft beer doesn't = loads of bearded hipsters.
-
Ha ha- yes the Shamrock. Had a few name changes since but I had 1 beer in there back in 96.. it was watered down with lemonade and ive never seen the women kick the shit out of the men.. men kick shit out of the women.. women against women.. men against men etc and then all sit down, order a beer and crack on again. Black eyes, broken teeth and blood all round the horseshoe bar. Place was f**kin unreal.
-
Yep that's exactly how I remember it.
If we played a show and got out without a fight, all our gear intact and few bucks pay we considered ourselves very lucky indeed.
Good times!

Looks great. I have a mate who lives only a few blocks from there, I'll be checking it out next time I'm in town. Thanks for the heads up.
-
Great line up of games.. lots of dedicated arcade cabs.. everything on a turn around of titles for those willing to site a game. No EMs though at the moment but im willing to put my 67 WMS Apollo in there if conditions are right. If that works out then ill consider something much earlier

Love the photos - they look like they were taken in the 90's @@^

Pretty cool place, not too shabby at all. All the games were working pretty well and the beer was cold.
The kids had a blast, nice way to spend a Sunday arvo with the family.
