we will on the same day be having a HUGE sale , all of the first container will be unloaded and on pallets out back and everyone here will be able to walk around and buy parts , all will be on sale for the day

Well my heart has been ripped out.Due to our moto club deciding to change one of our racing day to the 25 ^.^.Dont mean much to me but my young bloke is coming second in the club run on his first year for his age.I will give him credit for sticking it out as he put a lot of work into his bike and all the other stuff he has to do.
I have been asked by son if i can forgo my trip over so i can take him racing but he said in that voice,You can still go if you have to.Then i got the LOOK from the missus. !*!
So with great pain i wont be coming over for the meet witch shits me as was so looking forward to it,but when you have a pair tearre eye staring out you plus the LOOK from the other half, i have no choice. !!! !!! !!! !!! !!!
But a least i can now justify the purchase of another machine. ^^^ ^^^ ^^^
So i hope you all have a great day with great specials and leave all those good parts for me.
Maybe container nu 2,3,4,5,6 i try and be there

Ok guys, can someone fill me on on containers arriving? parts? NOS parts? and the such
It sounds like ford genuine parts when you guys say NOS parts :)
Just trying to understand what is really going on here %$%

Container one has arrived. It has a lot of parts in it - well, not any more as it has been emptied and is now in the factory. The parts are new old stock (NOS); that is, they are brand new but have been sitting around for years (hence old). So if you have a pinball machine from the right era you will be able to purchase brand new bits for it so that it will look as good as new (or close to it). There are another two or three containers of parts still to arrive.
This is the largest shipment of pinball parts into Australia for many a year and possibly ever, and because the gear is all brand new, there are a lot of excited pinball restorers out there.
If you want to play pinball or see the parts you can go to the factory and have a look.
If you want to play pinball, see parts, have a sausage or three and meet a bunch of like-minded pinball nuts then come to the meet on the 25th July. We will be the ones wearing the Aussie Pinball shirts (probably underneath a jumper or jacket, though).

Just thinking, this is going to be thew biggest meet we've seen for years with all the interest in this massive undertaking by Mark - should be fun! I even canceled out of an AGM to be able to attend, can't wait!

Big thanks to Mark for letting me have a look at all the stuff, never seen so many ramps. It is true that after a while they all look the same, but I still manage to find a few for me. Coin doors were eveywere.
Just wish I had longer than one day in Melb.
Glad I got to meet the two Marty and Pinball god as always good to put a face to names. ^^^
With all these new parts coming in it going to make the job of restoring a lot easy and a lot cheaper. Pitty i won’t see the next two as they are going to be very nice indeed.Trying not to think of it but all ready started list in head.

Well I just got home - and I really enjoyed the afternoon. It had to be the best attended meet I've ever been to, and to be honest - I didn't play pinball - I just spent all my time drooling over parts or talking to fellow members. It was great to talk to you guys and finally put faces to names - should do it more often !
Parts - ^&^ ^&^ ^&^
I went through the parts area initially - But I had to leave, as I was totally blown away (information overload) - just TOO MUCH to look at. To see the fully populated SWEP1 playfield, proto Scared Stiff ramps - fully populated, coils, assemblies.. list goes on and on. The Doors had populated one whole corner of the factory !
Second time, I had a better look. It was simply amazing.
I ended up buying an Altek board and a Door for my CV - Very happy ! I will wait to see what other parts are in the next containers, and then buy more parts. Hopefully they come quickly, as most attendees were leaving with shopping trolleys full of parts !! Well, nearly.
I did see a WH2O topper FULL of parts - a night "carry bag".. Or "Formerly known as a shopping bag...)
BTW - The door I bought fits straight into my CV - so I'm not sure what all the fuss was about !
Thanks to Childs / PSP for a great day - and it was great to catch up with everyone !

This was the first proper 'meet' I've been to and was great to catch up with members I already know and the ones I hadn't met.
Thanks to Mark, Damien and the rest of the PSP/Child crew for putting on (and catering) a great event. All the pins were being played and were dropping in numbers as I left as they were being sold!

I like to say big thanks to Mark and his employees for the invite. Tonight gave me the opportunity to play some pinnies i’ve never played before.....especially White Water - highlight of the night!
Though spewing we couldn’t get to play Champion Pub, T2 and even RCT , due to being sold.

I agree Nino the first look at the parts and id missed a heap of cool parts luccky i took a second look ^^^ And it was great to put a face to the names. And i was shocked to put young faces to some of the members.. Marco and Angelo turned out to be younger blokes than expected (Did i mention Friendly aswell) And finally getting to meet Theo was great i think i purchased my first ever new pinball parts form him maybe 5 years ago. He introduced himself and even remembered details what a great Bloke ^^^ ^^^ ^^^

Great night, thanks to Mark and the crew, grabbed a new coin door (with Aussie spec coin inserts and connector) and a few other bits - even some hard to get lamp sockets, just what I needed to finish that last bits on HH.
Oh, and did I mention - the coin door has the correct Aussie connector?? Bargain, and will really tart up the AFM - gonna start work on that with the new ramps I got from Greg with NOS decals, and re-decal the cab while I've got her apart - all motivated now to make the rest look as good as that new coin door.
Oh, and by the way, the coin door has the correct Aussie spec connector..

Anyhoo.......been a long day, longer for some though.
Well done to MarkC & the gang for all the preparations and a smooth day.
Great to meet quite a few people i hadn't met before, great to see everything from handfuls to bagfuls to topper-fuls of parts walking out the backroom......
I spent a lot of time out the back, assisting where possible and having a grin at everyones JAW-DROPPING GASPS as they walked thru the lanes of parts in disbelief.......
Everyone agreed it was an awesome array of parts, and everything NOS condition......not bad since the next 2 containers will perhaps outshine this first 'teaser' container......
I don't think we've even begun to comprehend what's still on the way in quantity & rarity......today was a mild introduction so people wouldn't suffer heart attacks hehehehehe.
A big thanx again to ALL the Mark'X's on the day, and to the other MarkC for burning cooking our snags to perfection, and copping a shipload of smoke in the eyes #@#

Had a great time today.
Didn't really speak muster up the courage to talk to anyone but had a great time playing the machines and refining my wish list further. I had to get out of there after Mark priced that RFM right where i wanted it!
If only i had my tax return already!

It was good to catch up with the Geelong boys: Daniel was shorter than his photos suggested (must be the camera angles or the people he stands next to) and Matt was younger than I was expecting! Good to see there are plenty of younger guys still getting into pinball (I'll include Marty J in that list, I reckon).
Nice to meet Dean Morgan at last (I forget to check if that invitation to visit next time I am passing through is still open, but as Dean is one of the nice guys I am sure it is); and had a quick hello with Shansta who brought his whole family. And got introduced to the guys from Perth and Sydney.
Also ran into many familiar faces - special mention to Matt (Felixthadog) who is still around. Good to see you again, mate, and keep on pinballing!
Food: pizza was great, but by the time I went to check out the BBQ which was fired up later in the evening, the sausages were all gone so I can't comment on them. No coffee to be seen anywhere so I think Mark was taking pity on everyone yesterday.
Pinball machines: the highlight for me was probably Theatre of Magic. Yeah it is pretty simple in some respects - if you want big points, get the balls locked and score multiball jackpots - but it is good fun and there is enough there besides the trunk shot to keep me interested. So maybe one day.
Other machines I played:
Capcom Magic (or Magi as we called it as the C drop target was missing): good to be able to say I played it but not sure if it would hold my long-term interest
Judge Dredd: this one seemed to be not levelled correctly as it was playing a bit slow, but definitely was a machine I could play again. Didn't like the LHS loop shot of death off the RHS flipper, though.
Medieval Magic: warming to this machine but not the price tag
( I think the three above were all from Mark's personal collection)
Whitewater - got my butt kicked by Joe from BCW on this one; the guy can really play a Whitewater
Congo - an intriguing game I will have to spend more time on in the future
Sopranos - underwhelming, I thought. I was expecting a whole lot more out of it being a fairly recent Stern title but the implementation (including the playfield and headbox graphics) was only so-so.
Family Guy - yeah, decent title (of the two if I had to own one I would go for the Shrek) with a heavy concentration on the mini pinball playfield
some forgettable title with a casino theme - ah, found it on IPDB - High Roller Casino - enough said
The Simpsons Pinball Party - fun title, and requires a bit of skill to get a decent score. Hopefully these come down in price over time but that is probably wishful thinking.
Revenge from Mars - good honest pinball fun. The more I play this title the more I like it, and the price tag on one of these is not that bad. With the NuCore release there is backup on the system as well, which takes some of the fear out of a purchase of this title.
Monster Bash - another solid title, but the one on the floor had a slightly sticky RHS flipper and the world tour kicker was aimed straight down the middle, which made it less than fun to play.
Hook - couldn't judge the title from the machine I played as it wasn't levelled correctly
Corvette - interesting title that would warrant more time
Fish Tales - didn't spend enough time on it to form a solid idea of whether I liked it or not, but could definitely play it again
Guns N Roses - played this one before and only had a quick bash (the kicker on this one was aimed straight down the middle as well) but it is a decent title - for me, one to play, not to own
There may have been a couple of others. Ones I forgot to play: Grand Prix (how did I miss playing that - maybe the cheap looking toy car at the top centre of the playfield threw me off?).
Oh, yeah, I can say I have played a Popeye now - Mark gave me one game but the ball drained down the LH drain each time before I could really achieve anything. The idea of covering up half the playfield does seem ill-conceived to me. Of course, there are those who like it.
Parts: I did go and have a look - it certainly makes their current parts room look tiny in comparison. And to think that there is double that again coming in next month! Checked out the Dirty Harry ramp but self-discipline prevailed and I walked out of there empty-handed this time around.

Firstly,
A big thanks to Mark and all the Childs/ PSP crew for hosting the meet and p utting on a great night.
Mate, i was gobsmacked by the amount of parts you got there. There were a few things I wanted but I really didn't know where to start. Might wait till the other containers turn up I think.
My wife and Son Daniel had a great time too, I had to drag the missus away quite literally. I guess this means I might finally be allowed a DMD machine.
Fantastic also to finally put some names to faces finally, Daniel, Dean , Matt, Daz and a few others and great to catch up with those I knew already - Mark C and Chris K. Really look foward to seeing you guys again maybe later in the year.
There were a few others I didnt get to meet and really dissaponted I didn't to catch up with Nino and talk about system 80s.
I handed out some Aussie Pinball keyrings as a bit of a memento of the night. Mark C has some spares for those that missed out, otherwise guys send me a PM and I can send you one when We get back to Perth.

Best pinball night I've ever had. Well except for that one night at a pinney joint in Geelong near the nightclub (forget what it was called) where I has this female draped over a 'time warp' and well you can guess the rest. My mate looking after the place kinda got the sack and we made in the Geelong addy but that's another story.
Back to the meet. Excellent atmosphere, excellent company, excellent burnt sausages and LOTS of parts. Thanks Mark and great to see people like KTM450, pinnie4me, the Martys, Theo etc etc
