Title: Creature restoration
Post by: Replicas on June 01, 2009, 06:20:23 AM
Hi all
Thought I would share the Creech restoration that I did over the winter months.
She looked awesome when completed and it made a huge improvement using LED's. CFTBL must be one of the most colourful tables out there. Looks stunning in the dark.
Tried to upload the pic's but having a little trouble so here is a link.

Enjoy,
Darren.

Awesome job - looks like you go to the same level of detail as the guys down here.

To me it sounds like LEDs suit some machines better than others and CFTBL is one of them.

Yes
I try and bring all the machines that I restore back to as an original condition as possible.
With this Creech the IPB playfield was given another clearcoat with a ceramic clear, this stuff is a real diamond plate and nothing will wear through it, in fact it will out last the machine. As well as getting all metal parts re-plated and any thing else polished, including all the heads of the screws, all guide rails re grained to remove ball tracks. It made the thing sparkle like it had just come off the production line. The only thing that I changed from the original was to install teal pop bumper wafers and caps which I think look way better than the red. I also added lights to the pop bumpers and put green bulbs in the swirl ramp and bowl.
I properly put in well over 100 hours in bringing this machine back to its former glory, but there is no better feeling once the job is done.
