Hi all, i got my hands on one of Geoff Frazers Sunset Riders a few weeks ago. It's a little bit ratty here and there and i want to bring it up to a really nice cosmetic standard, a machine this pretty deserves it.
Any way, one of the things i want to do is get some stickers done for the top of the bumper caps, the spinner (it has a solar ride sticker on it) and the standups.
I have found the image i want for it, but i don't know what to tell the printer.
I obviously need something that's going to stand up to the ball, so i'm guessing there's some kind of clear laminate that printers use?
Just need the terms, but i'll also take a link to the printers you guys use, mail order would be fine for this and an experienced guy who knows pinball would be perfect!
The image for your reference, and also some shots of the machine.

I’ve printed stuff with a home color printer onto sticker paper then covered with a Mylar patch with lots of success

Another question, i want to fit some late model flipper buttons to the machine, it has the early Bally buttons with the two screws and i want to get some flasher ones that have the big pressed metal nut to hold them in.
I've measured the holes in the rails, and although this won't work with my Lost World as the holes are too small, it looks like the buttons would fit in the cab and the rails of the Sunset Riders. I was thinking if i glued a piece of ply in behind the hole so i could redrill the mounting hole this would work?
Can someone who has done it confirm please?

Made a start on the decals yesterday. I'd already printed a set and mylared them before realising i hadn't used adhesive photo paper.. ::)
So ordered some of that and when it came i'd ordered more of the same photo stock that i already had. #@#
So ordered some more photo, adhesive this time.
I did the spinner and it looks pretty good, better than the solar fire sticker that was on it, anyway.
I still have to do the targets, then i'll have a go at doing the new pop covers with a different image in the same style

Got the other standups done today, i like the images i found. f**ked the application up a bit on the Bells Beach one, but can redo it if it bothers me once the glass is back on.
Not sure what to do with the new pop caps. I think if i put the round surfgirl on them from the standups (best colour match) it will be garish.
Would like some opinions. Going to take the bulbs out of the pops in any case.
Last pic, obviously i would resize larger to fit the inner circle on the pops. Sort of leaning towards it looking at that.

I'd be tempted to leave the bumper caps alone
the art on the rest of the game is minimalistic, maybe less is best

Thats what i'm thinking too Pete, maybe a darker purple inlay or something.
