Well id always thought that strikes and spares would be a pin id never get to own. Being the first pin i ever played i always loved it but thanks to Mark i now have one in storage this one will be getting the treatment as soon as Marathon has had its respray. Ive already started work on the Cpu (Which is the only spare bally board i owned and the only one missing)
So thanks again Mark
-
Great stuff.
Seems a few people are scoring their dream pins lately....
Cannot wait to see photos.
-
Congratulations mate!! One of my favourites too :) In fact I remember me & my mate using a big speaker magnet over the metal spinner to rack up points at the local squash courts. I hope the PF glass area above the spinner on your's doesn't have scratches over it &&
-
Always good hearing this stuff - congrats.
Exciting aint it *)*
And the women just dont get it :lol
-
Excellent new Daniel,
You must be pumped! ^^^
-
good to see Daniel, enjoy, Strikes and Spares was a favorite of mine when it was released. I used to play it at the Box Hill Ten Pin Bowling Centre. Great game
-
one of the best BGs of all time &&
-
Yeah Sure are pumped my cheeks hurt from smiling the whole way home. Here are a few pics it wont even see legs until after the Sheds finished fingers crossed for good weather next weekend *%*
-
Sure is Greg But its funny i never noticed the Tits and Nipples all over it when i was 10 lol
-
yea yea suck up now after you bent me over
hmmmm
SS was sitting on the rack .. looked the part too
I thought it had no boards or displays ..... so Daniel makes me offer
I am sure it had no boards or displays too .....
so I get it down with the forklift ... find a set of legs on it hmmm and then see displays hmmmm then open the door and it even has boards ....
so today I check out my RS to find it on the floor missing displays and boards .....
I am guessing you can see what happened hey ....
nah only kidding glad you're happy but i really didnt know it had boards or displays
and thanks for the JW too
send me some pictures when done too
thanks for the help too
mark

mate backglass looks A1, playfield too...
Do you have the other 2 displays?
-
MATE!! From those pics it looks like it's in awesome condition.
-
Yes Dean i do have some spare Displays and yes Evro it is in good shape i didnt know that at the time due to the inch of dust and crud on the glass which is probably a good thing for me or else Mark wouldnt have let it go
-
Your welcome Mark glad i could help out and i will be back ASAP and you know me there will Be JW with me. I might skip the Maccas Breakfast Lunch and KFC tea man i felt shit that night %.%
-
Well done on a great looking pinball you have done well!!! Nice to get your dream pin hey and I hope to get another of my dream pinballs soon also $#$
Peter
-
Yes it was well worth the wait i had turned down a few before which all had shit backglasses or playfields but this one is more than good enough to be a keeper for me and will get the full NINO treatment
-
It's always nice to have a good playfield to start with - I am prepared to pay a bit more for that. Having a decent backglass helps too.
It must be a nice feeling to be in possession of that pinball machine!
-
Sure is andrew just hanging to get it home now i didnt want to push my luck to far by setting it up in the lounge room lol
-
You should have seen the smile on Daniel's face when he was telling me about it today. :D
Even the Evil Black Hole teaching him a pinball lesson couldn't wipe it off!
Big congrats buddy. ^^^
-

As you have not been married for too long, the rules are still flexible, mate.
A pinball in the lounge room sounds perfectly reasonable to me.
-
!!! !!! !!! this one is on my wish list as well, maybe one day, congrats on the Strikes and Spares great pin.
Ian
-
A pin in the lounge was fine when i only had the one but with 10 spread all over the place its a firm no in the lounge but for more pins im happy to leave the lounge room alone $#$
-
Nice pick up Daniel, congratulations - make sure you keep the hammer away from this one lol
-
Looks like you scored a real nice machine there Daniel.
Hope its lotsa fun for you to get it up and running.
Bally's are always great fun to work on.
-
What a classic, Great deal and a lot of fun ahead!
Well done!

i still remember Nino face on getting his Fathom .....
-
Nice Score Dan,
Another one of those 'better than i expected' scores....
Is your BGlass the one we looked at in the box? or is it another?
Awesome BG, Something about looong legs and long red hair is always a winner with me hehehehe.
I'm yet to find a decent S&S BG to hang on the wall, one of the few that i actually would hang up hehehehe.

It never fails to impress me when a grown man can get THIS excited over a Pinball - Congrats Daniel - You have been a credit to this site and the Hobby since you have been here and you deserve everything you get in my book.
I will dig out my Strikes and Spares restore from the archives #@# and post it here soon. My machine came up really well and I think you will be very pleased with your machine as it looks to be in excellent condition !!

I still remember the day you laughed at me unpacking the Medusa. Never forget it.
My collection has quite a few "A list" titles from your containers. You guys have helped a few collectors along the way ^^^

Looking good Daniel, Strikes & Spares was one of my favorites from that era,
Man I racked up some games on this when it was new. Still remember the line up at the Box Hill Bowl, Strikes & Spares, Kiss, Mata Hari and Evil Knevil..
BLOODY AWESOME
Bring back the 70s when Pins were everywhere. Wish I had taken pics of my favorite Pinball haunts
-
Im to young for any of that Dean but damn you make it sound good And what a line up Strikes & Spares, Kiss, Mata Hari and Evil Knevil.

-
If I get to my 90's i will still be drooling over the BG on this.
Nice machine
-
Well i wasnt going to start on this machine yet but couldnt help myself.
Ive replaced the Power cord and tested the rectifier board which is all working (will be rebuilt anyway) tested the Driver board all working but needs to be re pinned and plugged even the HV section is within spec (also will be rebuilt anyway) Didnt bother with the lamp driver board as it has visible corrosion so ill rebuild that before i even bother.
The 3 displays the game had are also in working order but dont tell mark
-
Hurry up mate, I'm hanging out to play this one! $#$
