Hooley dooley, this stuff works a treat
I thought I had better clean the subway ramp on ‘Earthshaker’
It was filthy with 20 years of black crap
Anyhow an hour, one old shirt and few squirts of 'Citro clean', it was as good as new
While I had the subway off I thought I better tackle the steel guide that get he ball down and protects the ramp from the ball dropping
It was covered in rust and corrosion
I figured it must have been covered in a thread here so a quick search and I come across Nino cleaning a set of chrome legs
The product listed was Ranex ‘Rustbuster’
Off to Bunnings, found the stuff
Came home, put on an old apron, gloves and goggles, and applied the product (it stinks)
I was expecting it to be a little thicker, but I covered the part, leaving it for 15 minutes, I give it a scrub, another slap of ‘Rustbuster’
another 15 minutes and the part is clean
I then use a little ‘Brasso’ on it, and it came out like new
Thanks
Pete

Agree,works well
What is the Orange Power?,can this be used on all playfields ? Where do you buy it?

Ranex is an awesome product. I was hoping that I might find some "Lightning Rust Remover", but it is not availabile in Australia. Thankfully, Ranex have a similar product.

&^& My bad, I got the name wrong
'Citro Clean' is what I used
I get it from a specialty cleaning store I use at work
I am not sure if it is avaliable at a supermarket/bunnings

there are lots of 'brand names' this stuff is sold under. Basically it's a product made from citrus fruit skins and it can damage some plastics so care is required.
Citrus clean, orange power etc etc they are pretty well much the same.
I wouldn't use it on a playfield or plastics without very careful testing but it is great for removing determined glue from cabinets and glass.

I used to use Novus 3 / Novus 2
Now I simply use the Tresurecove kit. For mylared playfields it cannot be beat.
Disclaimer - use Nifti to remove the dirt etc first !

I find Mills wax used after a good clean with Baby Bum Wipes cleans n polishes better than anything.
I then give the treasure cove kit a decent go but find mills wax with the treasure cove attachments is the bomb ! (that means great.lol) ^^^ ^^^
Novus over rated i find. Some people love it, some dont.
For those who feel mills wax is not good. Used it on 25 machines, all segas, williams, data east, bally etc playfields, never had one issue ever.
I then use baby bum wipes after cleaning with mills wax etc, removes any residue that may be left.
Baby bum wipes wont hurt a babys ass, so it wont hurt ya playfield. Just excellent to use. the results are amazing ! ^^^ ^^^ ^^^
