Awoke this morning with news of a earthquke in Christchurch NZ, measured 7.4 on the ricter scale.
My wifes parent reside in Christchurch and thankfully they are all ok. Its been declared a national disaster, with alot of residents without power and water.
I hope Mike and Brenda (pinmadd) are both ok, mike I hope your pinball collection & v8 holden ute survived the earthquake ^&^

One of my Facebook friends mentioned this, hope everyone is OK - and now I remember why they call them the Shaky Isles.

Spoke to a friend of ours who lives in Dunedin (nearly 5 hr drive away from Christchurch) . She said it woke them up at 4.30AM .. whole house shaking .. pictures fell off the walls etc .. original quake 7.4 .. after shock 7.1 .. pretty big quake

The house is ok,ute ok,statey took a hit from a empty beer bottle @.@
There has been non stop after shock's 20 or so, There is alot of damage in the city! old brick buildings,roads,water mains ect...

Well the news has been all over the TV/media here over the weekend, its a bloody shame to see alot of those old buildings in the city badly damaged, how did Ian's pins in Manchester street hold up, he had 6 in that burger bar alone, plus a few others scattered around the cbd? Also how did the Timezone on Moorehouse Ave go?, (the Science Alive building), this was an old brick building from memory?

It's been a crazy 48hrs or so, still getting aftershock's 70+ now 3.2 to 5.1,
I hav'nt heard from Iain,but Manchester st does'nt look good, The city is still closed till Wednesday,Timezones ???????
Now we have a cold snap on the way with maybe snow!!!
