I have previously used the Loctite brand.  It dries relatively clear and has never given me any issues.  Works very well with bonding plastic to wood - but I've always spent a long time cleaning the old glue out first as well as wet sanding inserts.

By Loctite do you mean it's version of "super glue"? Or something else? I've used super glue for some things, but always worry about removing the inserts if I ever needed to in future.

Yup, Loctite have their own superglue.  It is a very strong superglue and I've used it on probably 4 playfields now without any issues.

This is what Marty is talking about - the 424 shown here is for gluing ABS and hard to stick plastics.

There are quite a few (Loctite) grades of this stuff depending on what exactly you are gluing. (I think 425 is general purpose from memory)

Edit: 435 is GP.

What are the inserts molded from? I assume Acrylic?

Cue "Twilight Zone" music...  $.$

Actually - I got grades of this stuff at work that isn't listed on the website? Might not be available to the general public?
