Just got my hands on a second hand mini playfield that looks better than my existing one. Is there things I should test or look out for prior to installing to ensure no nasty things can happen to my 100% working machine. It has a couple of magnets and switches and bulbs etc etc.
Any suggestions on what and how to do things would be great.

Why not swap out the parts on your perfectly working one onto the new one? best of both worlds.

Was thinking the same but this new one may be good all round. Has all the bits I think but was concerned to just plug it in and see smoke lol. Thanks for the suggestion though

Yep, did exactly that. Quick check to see if any loose wires needed attention and then let it rip.
Gotta admit I kind of flinched when the boot boing noise happened.

Hi Pinball God,
My mini pf planking wasn't as bad as yours but I would recommend you try clearcoating. Talk to more than one body shop before you decide who to use. My experience is here: http://aussiepinball.com/index.php?topic=5251.0
Good luck
