Title: Pinballs on Ebay
Post by: SPURR on February 01, 2009, 11:16:10 PM
Twilight Zone on eBay, It went For $4360. guys is this a good buy? I was looking in the pins completed listings section of eBay and found most of them had no bids on them. Is this because they may be priced to high or at the moment no one got money?

Probably a bit of both.

TZ's that sold late last year on eBay fetched from $3200 to $4350, I guess condition has a lot to do with what price people are prepared to pay.

If the seller was happy and the buyer was happy - then the price was right !

Too hard to make an estimation without seeing the machine in person.

I have a Tz on the way which needs a bit of TLC so I can see what all the fuss is about.I have noted that while the prices have dropped a little overall I still maintain that top end games will hold their own overall- I.E Don't buy crap.

Well - the SUPERSONIC for $1000 starting price id be giving a miss.
Problem with Ebay these days is that it seems to have gone from an auction site for pins to a site where the seller is convinced they will squeeze top $$ for the machine and so set the starting price at where they hope it may finish.

I always start mine at $500 if i sell on there. Can honestly say i dont have to now though - i dont have enough pins to sell to cover the enquiries ive got on them

I'd say it's a high price for a TZ on eBay, but the machine usually sells for more than that from a dealer in this country.

The only thing though... from a dealer it should be fully reconditioned, but from someone just selling it on eBay, it probably will not be. Having said that, if it was not from a dealer, then $4300 is high in my book.

I think the machine you are referring to belongs to a member here (ROLLERBALL).

I haven't seen it in person, but from the description and photos on eBay, it seemed like it was in superb condition. And from what I have heard about Paul's other pins, they are all in exceptional condition so I wouldn't expect anything less with the TZ. I think the buyer will be very pleased.

Hey ANT68, be careful how you do your quote tags. You need to add your text after the [/quote] tag. Otherwise it looks like your text is part of the text you are quoting.
