Came across this project being done by some clever dutch guys. Upgrading a Bride of Pinball into a DMD model using a P-Roc system.
Here is a cool video

Yep, that P-ROC system has a lot of potential!
-
That one was posted a couple of years back http://aussiepinball.com/index.php?topic=5477.msg76619;topicseen#msg76619 (http://aussiepinball.com/index.php?topic=5477.msg76619;topicseen#msg76619)
Cool system, love the work on the dots really show off their full potential with new software

Planned to convert my bride if it ever became available but sadly my bride was to flogged out to be a keeper anymore !!!

but sadly my bride was to flogged out to be a keeper anymore !!!
You're talking about pinball still, right? !@#
-
Quite a few people (myself included) have asked these guys via their Guestbook if there are any plans to produce their BOP system as a kit/package.
To date, no answer as been forthcoming !@#
What they have done using P-Roc is absolutely amazing, but way beyond mere mortals abilities to emulate.
I would be forced to scrape up the coin & the room for a BOP if their awesome system is ever released.

Here is a recent video from the Dutch Pinball Masters, with the machine running but still not finished.
It looks great though only had a couple of games on one at Pinfest and can't remember the music - is the video using additional music or is it standard.
utoplay=1&rel=0
Notice at the 2min 55sec mark a Matrix pin - like to see more of that.
Players featured in the video are:
Roy Wils (Dutch and European Champion)
Martin Ayub (www.pinballnews.com)
Jasmijn de Jong (Winner DPO 2012 Women)
Helen de Haan-Verbeek (who set the Grand Champion score this weekend)
The last girl is a dam good player.

DMD looks great. Musics new but not so great, seems to have less voice over from the bride (one of the great things about the original game in my opinion) I could be wrong but the cab art work looks a little bit more Blinged out. Also 3 ball multi-ball not 2 ball as original. Anyone else notice other differences?
-
yeah they said the cabinet art was upgraded, saw a picture some where will have to find it.
-
here's the guy that did some 3D modelling of the bride herself for dmd work - some clever people out there.
http://www.j-peters.com/?page_id=388
also says it has a wizard mode etc on this 3D modelled poster
-
I like that a lot... not sure about the music though.
One of my favourite games BOP.. been kicking my arse for 20 years

Agreed, nothing wrong with the original music/voice overs.

Hey guys!
Quite a few people (myself included) have asked these guys via their Guestbook if there are any plans to produce their BOP system as a kit/package.

I apologize the kit question didn't get answered in the guestbook.
We DO intend to produce a kit so people can convert their Bride.
Here's a more elaborate answer:

Koen might chime in but here is a update for any of you that might be travelling to Chicago later in the year to play some pinball and you can check and play the BoP DMD.
It is still hoped by many that a kit and code will be released so many others can convert their BoP's if they wanted.
copied from their facebook page
We are very excited to announce that the Bride of Pinbot 2.0 machine will be fully playable at this year's Pinball Expo in Chicago!!
It will be at Multimorphic's booth in the exhibitor hall, along with their P3 and various other P-ROC community projects.
From our team Barry and Koen will be there to present the machine, talk about the project, answer your questions etc.
Stay tuned for updates as we work to make the game as complete as possible for Expo.
We look forward to meeting you all!
The Dutch Pinball team,
Barry Driessen - dots
Jules Reivers - sfx
Koen Heltzel - code

now for sale as pre-order kits here

here is a message from Koen
Hey guys,
We recorded a game today to give you the full overview of what is currently in the Bride of Pinbot 2.0 game software.
This machine (the one at Expo) is pretty brutal set up to keep ball times low; that's why for this video we did a 5-ball game.
The YouTube description has a couple of timecode links so you can jump between the various goals and missions.
Thanks for the support everybody!
PS: The old main music was replaced by something less annoying (but too energetic for normal gameplay), but since our sound guy Jules is on a honeymoon we were not able to check this with him (the new music was composed by him too, we just weren't using it anywhere yet). Basically everything you see is subject to change (for the better).
Cheers,

Is he talking about there "old main Music" or the original music? I love the original music, it's defiantly something I wish they wouldn't change with the new game play.

Forget the old orange DMD for the Bride (that's so 2012 %$%), BoP is now in living colour.....
-
that is sweet and unique
