I am pushing for a section dedicated to mods, so if people want to locate a mod for there machines they can be easily found for inspiration or ideas of doing up there machines if they are in to this.
So if you support a mods section enter a response and for those who have a IM, what do you think of this one.
A different decal for where the iron monger raises through the playfield is in a trial period, so the Iron Monger is totally hidden until it raises up.

Strangeways and I have discussed this with Swinks, not sure there's enough around but if members get behind the idea we'll be more than happy to set up a section dedicated to the art of modding.

Would be handy to go to a dedicated page and look up your machine with a list of mods for that title.
There a lot of mods out there but all over the place. ^^^

If set up correctly a specific section would be good. A lot of mods out there as mentioned, condensed and sorted would be good.

Depends what you want to define as a mod? Plenty of examples depending on how broad the categories are.
1. Electrical/electronic mods:
Game specific
IJ POA mod
TZ color changing door translite mod
and Generic
EL wire mods for ramps
Color changing shooter rods
2. Artwork mods:
Iron Monger decal as above
New and improved artwork - e.g The Shadow and Flintstones translites
3. Miscellaneous mods:
Powdercoating metal parts
Chroming/Gold plating metal parts
Installing mirror blades (aka No8 mirror polished stainless steel sheets)
Just my thoughts...

This might be the way to go.
One category that is machine specific for ease of reference.
and
one for generic mods which could cover most machines (mirror blades et al)

Good idea pinsanity - A section for Game specific and another section for general use across the board that could be used on all sort of games - like mirror blades. And maybe to add to this a not seen but valuable mod like a electrical improvement mod section.
End of the day, the way I view a mod is anything that is different in looks / features from the original issue machine that makes a machine look different, and in addition improve reliability which is not necessarily seen (electrical - this dedicated section would make searching so much easier rather than a pot luck search depends on thread heading wording - rather you just browse in a dedicated category).
I did a search and found 40 odd "MODS" which gives great inspiration.

I think it's a good idea.
I have quite a few mods I'd be happy to post in the new section.
If it's not too much bother, what could it hurt to set up the section and see how it goes?
