Title: Matrix Pin - using a P-Roc system and Johnny Mnemonic pin
Post by: swinks on October 10, 2012, 08:32:57 PM
Gameplay of the NebuchadnezzaR mode of our Johnny Mnemonic pinball machine make over into a The Matrix themed pinball machine.
All rules are programmed with a PROC CPU replacement board, manufactured by www.pinballcontrollers.com

The playfield is still the Johnny graphics but the vid has the Matrix music and dmd graphics, more words, but one to watch.

Thnx everyone.

My idea is to transform a JM in to a The Matrix go way back.
I always had the idea that the movie JM was a prequel of The Matrix
but most of all, i love JM the pinball machine.
I have about 35 Machines (MM,CV,CC,MB you name it) and the JM is my favorite.
we spend a year to realize this, 2000 men hours and eleven people that help me.
Dennis van de Pas did a 1000+ hours work in the software (P-Roc).
The playfield is airbrush with 40 layers of clearcoat.
Here,s another gameplay video made by Pinball News at the Dutch Pinball Open.

I was bored one day and started Photoshopping up to look like a Matrix re-theme and then I discovered someone was making it a reality. Wouldn't it be cool if you could get a beat up old JM and replicate their Matrix pin. I'm guessing with movie copyrights, it would be hard for them to supply graphics for playfield, decal, translite etc.

It might be a bit hard to sell full kits with the copyright thing but can only hope, it would be cool though and help them recoup some money as well

Machine looks excellent.
Johnny M is a excellent George Gomez title that has some very very cool features. The mechanical glove is a very smart feature.
The triangle inserts on the playfield look great. Whether you convert a JM to the Matrix or keep it original, u are getting a very fun game.

last update

"The most essential toy in the Matrix is almost finished.
We found a 3D artist who is making a NebuchadnezzaR toy.
It wil be placed where the "hand" from the Johnny Mnemonic used to be.

Only the cockpit/nose has been created.
There is no place for the whole ship.
The magnet wil be intergrated in the ship as the hand did in the JM."

and a animation video
