Title: Nutt and muddle Jubilee supreme help required
Post by: ddstoys on March 16, 2013, 05:35:54 PM
Hi guys just wondering if anyone has a Nutt and Muddle jubilee supreme one armed bandit?

I've just gutted one out and converted it to a tough screen jukebox but I still want the reels to spin when the handle is pulled.

What I need is to know what voltage is used on the coils that stop the reels spinning?   I've tried 12v and 24v one coil worked on 24v but the other 3 didn't the plug that supplies power to the coils looks like the 240v plugs in arcade machines but surely they wouldn't use 240v in the coils

No - wont be 240v coils, they are always real big buggers,

Most coils are 28V but you could have up to 50V in some machines.
Not sure what Nutt & Muddle used and id be very suprised if it was 50V as you dont need a lot of grunt to merely stop a wheel.

The coils actually pull the arms away from the reels to allow them to spin ill try find a power supply with enough grunt the 24v supply was 2.5amps and still wasn't enough lol

It could also be AC coils?

They could be..    Can't get to them without demolishing half the reel assembly so I'm hoping someone has one we can find out from

Daniel any of the aussie slots have very little information available.
Check out this site you may find the info you need from other manufacturers as in all things they probably copied each others designs.

Hi Daniel, ... I have a Jubilee Super Seven 4 reeler 20cent machine. .... The machine is mechanical, but the 'payout' side of things is digital, and works from a board, with chips. It's real dirty so hard to tell about coils etc.
