does anyone know where to source and how easy it is to upgrade subwoofers? I was thinking of increasing the drums on Congo, and maybe upgrading LOTR. Saw an ad on ebay for a LOtR one in the USA but wondered if there was anything local?
-
I'm sure there are options to source something local, but I always buy from Pinball Pro. Pity you didn't post last week as I've just put in a PP order.
-
pretty sure AMD could help with Stern game ones as they offer to supply and install in new games.

Not surprised really. Pinball Pro aren't cheap, but installation is simple and i'm happy with the results. I've ordered a kit for a GnR.

No drama I just thought it would be easier for them to do it while fitting the shaker :-) Michael did say let's wait and see what speaker the LE's come with, fingers crossed its a sub like acdc.

I've been wanting to buy a speaker kit from pinball pro but haven't yet due to postage. Are we gonna save much by combining orders?

Email them for a quote. They will combine postage.
My kit for DE Guns n Roses was $208 all up. So not cheap for what it is.

I could be keen on one for a stern if your putting a order in.
-
just be careful on the total as you may be subject to taxes, so what you may save in combined postage could get you in the total package value with taxes costing you 10% more

I looked into getting Flipper Fidelity Subs as they offered a better (although small) discount for multiple units.
Keep the total under $1000 to avoid the 10% tax. In saying that you want everyone to be in the same state and be willing to pick up as the shipping from you to them will negate any saving made by buying in bulk.
I may put a call out soon for a buy in Melbourne.

^This.
It basically works out to no discount on multiple kits from Pinball Pro due to (the seller's words), "the size and weight of each kit".
1 kit is 8lbs weight at $69 (the max rate) shipping and each kit ships in a separate box.
So you aren't really saving anything with a group buy from PP.

Received my DE kit today. Pity I haven't bought a GnR yet %.%
I asked them about multiple kits and will they combine postage and was told yes they will. Simply email them and ask for a quote.
