Title: Side rail adhesive tape
Post by: andtan on April 27, 2014, 10:06:57 PM
I recently bought a new set of side rails - but they didn't come with tape already applied.

Are there any locally available double-sided tapes that I can use, if so what brand / dimensions etc?

Cheers,

Andy

Depends on the machine mate. Newer model Sterns for instance don't use tape. They just screw straight into the wood.

Are they the screw less type?
If so.. buy yourself some DS tape from here... good quality and cheaper than trying to use the Bunnings mirror stuff.

The 6mm will do you OK..

Sorry, should have mentioned it was for my White Water.

Tapes that I have seen on PBR and Pinrepair are about 3/4 to 7/8 of an inch wide and about 3/64 thick.

This is the stuff I use for 90's BW machines.

1 roll will do a pair of siderails with plenty left over.

If you don't want to wait for an international shipment from HK then just do a search locally - but it will be the identical product.

Thanks for the link Pinsanity, that will do nicely!
