Title: eBay feedback?
Post by: ddstoys on October 20, 2014, 08:02:27 AM
Is it just me or doesn't anyone leave feedback on eBay anymore?

I'd have over 20 manuals etc without customer feedback not that I care about my eBay score would just be nice to know they arrived?   Anyone else noticed this

I use eBay all the time and yes buyers can be slow to leave feedback :( I find if I leave them feedback it reminds them to do the same :)

As a buyer, you are sent a reminder message to leave feedback. I do it all the time out of courtesy.

Some people are just Lazy !

Once the item arrives I always leave feedback. I've only ever sold a bike on ebay and it took the guy weeks after he had picked the bike up before he left anything. Didn't really surprise me though as it took him a few days to contact me after he'd brought it and a coupe more weeks before he turned with the cash and to pick it up.

You're right mate. Sold 10 items and maybe got 3 feedback. Tried leaving as soon as being paid and didn't help either. So now I don't give it to buyers and leave to sellers if they give me one.

My feedback gets left after I've packed the item then marked as posted when its actually posted leaves me a visible sign tht I've packed the item or posted it.

For selling, I never leave feedback until the buyer does these days, I have been burnt too many times by buyers.
For buying I leave feedback when I am happy with the item, if I am not happy generally I don't leave any feedback, although sometimes I am a bit slack and forget to leave feedback.

Why would you bother - it's meaningless now that a seller can't leave a neutral or negative for a buyer.

A seller can't leave HONEST feedback about a shonky buyer who demands all sorts of things so I refuse to waste my time leaving it.

If I want something - I buy it - feedback is not relevant to me.

Dan, you mention feedback, forget feedback!  What about people that got your generous offer of manuals that you posted and you still haven't seen the money?? Disgraceful! Well, you know there won't be a next time for someone!

A lot of dumb ebay buyers don't realise that

Becareful

there is a new scam going around because of the new ebay rules on feedback and paypal money returns

You cant give buyers negative feedback, you cant ask buyers now to pay for postage insurance, and paypal returns funds in buyers favor every time, and you can no longer request buyers to return broken items.

well because of those rules

There is scam where dishonest people are buying expensive items,
waiting until they get the item then claiming they are broken with paypal
Paypal then returns the funds plus the postage costs.
So buyers are getting items for free. &^&

The seller can not request the item to be returned before refunding anymore,
They cant request buyer to pay insurance as a safety net for term of sale.

Then a seller cannot notify other sellers of the buyers behaviors because they cannot leave negative feedback even after a dispute has been made.
Ebay are  !!@ they have made it so easy to scam sellers,

There is no seller protection so why would you sell on ebay?? !@#

Dan.  Sorry to hear that a member on here has taken advantage of you.  Hopefully it's all sorted.  After everything you do on here and all the parts you help people out with its disappointing.  If the manuals continue to not be paid for make sure you let admins know to kick that member off and I am happy to kick in for the manuals so your not out of pocket.

Hopefully just a mistake by someone but if not, very poor form. Pay up!
