Title: Clear over Humbrol enamel touch-ups?
Post by: solar value on November 26, 2014, 10:29:30 PM
Hi All,

Sorry, I know this has been discussed before but I can't seem to find it. Can polyurethane go over Humbrol enamel paint?

Also, has anyone tried any of the various Humbrol clears?

Yes - no issues at all with P/Thane over Humbrol. KBS clear is also suitable

Oh, while I've got you here, If I do a spot clear over a touch up, which would blend in better on an early 80s playfield in your opinion, KBS or polyurethane?

P/Thane as its a linseed based finish much the same as the old. But it depends if we are talking early 80's or late. By late im pretty sure a thin clear was introduced.
All EM's and early SS have an oil based finish..

..whats the PF?
