There will be a few guys out there that will be able to use this story. As Homepin is situated in a factory area, we have water and many other supplies delivered, including beer. Yesterday I had 2 cartons of beer delivered (600ml bottles) and 4 cartons of bottled water (570ml bottles) from a local drinks wholesaler.
The docket shows the water cost 35rmb a box (AU$7.00) and the beer was 33rmb (AU$6.60)
It's cheaper to drink beer than water!!!!!!

I'm sure the beer is better for you than the water over there is...

Any decent (4 star and up) hotel over there supplies complimentary bottled water to its guests for the duration of their stay, with the proviso to boil the tap water first if you plan on consuming it.

Never stayed below 4 star in Asia. Not worth the saving or the risk,IMO.
Thanks for the info though. ^^^

Party at the Homepin factory? &&

Wow, your floors are so clean.
The cheap beer is no doubt the local. How does it compare to the imported drop?

Thanks, we pride ourselves on having a clean factory.
It tastes fine to me.

I agree with the fine, but it's an interesting one (and is not a court ruling). The company that makes the beer *is* apparently 100% Australian owned, and has it made in China. The infringement notice was issued because the overall packaging gives the impression that *everything* about the beer is Australian, including where it is made.
This was an ACCC infringement notice with a fine - fighting their position is like fighting a traffic ticket - generally not worth it. But I would think they might have had a reasonable argument to fight it.

Finest Australian malts..
Might have used 4 row instead of 2... therefore made from cow feed with adjuncts as American beer is
-
How much is Coopers Pale Ale in China?
-
I enjoy Bintang when in Indo - don't like to think about what might be in it, but it's an easy-drinking beer. Surprised the ACCC could be bothered with the green & gold China beer but I'm guessing another manufacturer brought it to their attention.
Have any pins ever been made around a beer or spirit theme? If you can do Harley Davidson & Playboy (for example) I can't see why not Jim Beam or something else internationally recognisable. XXXX?
