There was an upgrade performed on the hosting service that has affected the E-Commerce side of the website. The login errors are due to this problem, which I'm told, should be fixed by tomorrow.

The E-commerce software is 8 years old. Greg didn't want the site upgraded, as that would require a full inventory and a re population of the inventory from scratch. That would take months. But the site has grown in the last 2-3 years, and the web developer has suggested we upgrade to the latest E-Commerce software. That's all I need - more time - to effectively start from scratch. Hopefully, the programmer will be able to work out a fix so that will buy me 2 more years on the old platform before I will have to upgrade.

At least you are still in the "good books". I just told my wife we might have to do another stocktake and take photos of every item @@^

I still get logged out every time I look at a part. I will keep trying over the next few hours.

My issue is my shopping cart is not saved between logins like it did before

I have the same issue. Had some parts in my shopping cart for some time now and now they are all gone. No big deal but it was good having them in it sometimes until a part came back into stock etc.

excellent, shopping carts that are saved help old farts like me with only limited short term memory. Now what was this thread about again?

The problem is more complex than the current "fix" - which has broken other aspects of the site. We have decided to have the core code upgraded rather than try to continue with the band aids.
If anyone needs parts urgently, or you don't want to wait until the upgrade, please email me (or PM) and I'll do my best - sales@rtbb.com.au

The site is currently being upgraded, and as a result, I can't go fishing - I can't put the site into "maintenance Mode".
Logins may or may not work.
Carts will not save.
You can still navigate through the various sections.
There's no definite timeframe for the resolution, so please just email me your orders if there is an urgent need for parts.
Again - sorry for the inconvenience.
