He died in March this year and this machine was sold last month as a lot as part of his estate sale.

Note the Sotheby's estimate of what is essentially a mint condition machine at 1000-2000. Guess they didn't have any pinheads on hand for an estimate. I think $8125 was a bargain considering its provenance.

Also note the plaque on the front.
