Title: Cutting ramp flaps
Post by: Pop Bumper Pete on December 01, 2015, 07:48:40 PM
Cutting ramp flaps

I need to cut new flaps for my Ironman
I have the bluesteel, and a pair of heavy duty scissors to cut

But I am finding hard to cut perfectly straight, and to cut the rounded corners

Any hints?

Thanks
Pete

I used a guillotine to do some.

Nail scissors with a slightly curved tip for the corners.

Yep, a guillotine does the trick
So easy to hold the steel in place with one hand and cut with the other

Best option is to have plenty of shim stock on hand for when those cheap Stern ramp flaps inevitably go rusty.

Plus you can enhance it with some coloured accoutrements.
