Title: which tabletop arcade machine to get
Post by: travrudy on January 12, 2016, 10:22:08 PM
Hi All,

Looking to buy an arcade tabletop machine and wanted to see what peoples opinions are:
looking at
Mr Pinball Ultimate 2400 Games Dual Table Top http://www.mrpinball.com.au/arcade-games/arcade-tabletops/item/134-mr-pinball-ultimate-2400-games-dual-table-top
or
This one http://www.arcadecocktailmachines.com.au/special-edition
or the one on this page http://www.240.com.au/ (I dont have much details on it, but the owner seems legit and he did a awesome job fixing my space jam pin)

anyone got any reviews on the above, any suggestions or other machines that you can recommend?

Thanks
Trav

What state are you in?
Do you know what sort of games you want to play?

We have one of the homepin/hankin types that nino/strangeways sells.

The kids love it but it does only play vertical orientation games. Although the 60 in 1 is good the 412 in 1 really shines.

Good luck with the search. If in Qld, then same hankin from Tony/Pinball shed.

Cheers

We no longer sell homepin tables. If you are after one of these tables and you are based in QLD, contact Tony Turner at Pinball Shed.

Not at all. Only a recent development.

I live in Victoria so thats why I was looking at Mr Pinball in Melbourne and 240 amusements in Hallam. I want something with lots of games so I can get best value out of it. Typically all the old 70's and 80's games will suit me. It seems the hankin tables are well made and true to original look but just doesnt have as many games on them

Really sounds like you need an upright machine
That is the only way to get full value out of the games you are looking at
The multiboard games have a lot of side by side fighting games on them where you really need two joysticks and 6 buttons each not really suitable for a tabletop
Believe it or not something like a lowboy takes up less room than a table top and is more versatile
