Title: David Bowie Pinball
Post by: PinPal on April 07, 2016, 06:34:51 PM
Thought of this today, as there is Kiss, Metallica, AC/DC, and Ted Nugent.
Would a single artist pinball work?
Was thinking of a David Bowie Pinball, Ziggy Stardust And The Spiders from Mars.
David Bowies popularity exploded when he died, all his records went back on the charts and his last video clip has had 34 thousand views to date.
Would it be a popular game ?

thoughts....

Some very classic music that MIGHT translate to pinball, maybe? I think it would be better playing as back ground music while playing your favourite pin.

One thing that is abundantly clear after Bowies death is that all those that have sung tributes to him by singing his music fall way short of doing them justice. I cant see a pin made by Stern ( who would be the ones to do it) being anything different.

I have his last album, and thought it was great, but don't see most of his music style fitting pinball.  Music pins to date have been hard rock bands.  It would be an interesting experiment to see if a Bowie pin would work.

I suspect it would be Bowie fans with no deep interest in pinball buying it on theme alone, and pinball fans only buying if the play is exceptional.

Major Tom was heard a lot in amusement parlours at the height of the pinball golden era.

Big Bowie fan, not sure about a pin, but a Ziggy Stardust & The Spiders from Mars specific game has some legs I reckon!
