Post by: Goingpinsane on June 28, 2016, 09:06:31 PM
Hey guys. Just wondering what everyone uses in their tumblers for polishing screws, nuts, bolts and so fourth?
I just got one and have no idea what to use. Or where to get it.
Cheers

Gun shops are the go. I use corn media which works good for me, some use walnut shell. Trial and error

And chuck into the media a splash of novus 2 or Silvo or whatever you have for polishing.

I use corn cob media from a gun shop just off Guildford Rd in Mt Lawley / Bayswater and put a squirt of liquid Autosol in with it. Do not get the "tufnut" media that is treated with rouge they also have there as it stains your parts red.

Cheers mate. ^^^ I'll go to my local gun shop and see if they have some. Otherwise I'll have to order it or come up to Perth.
