Title: Gottlieb system 1 parts questions
Post by: Crashramp on February 05, 2017, 10:27:47 PM
Hi guys,

Anyone know where to buy a compatible EMI filter for my Count-down machine?

Also what are the diodes used in the diode banks on e bottom of the cabinet and on the playfield?

Thanks, I've used a Jaycar one on my old Bride of Pinbot but wasn't sure if the same one was suitable for an older system 1 game. I've brought the one of eBay now so all good.  ^^^

Anyone know about the diode banks? I'm hoping a IN4004 is suitable but only because I already have a heap of them.

Should be fine but 1N4148's are cheaper

Thanks, just checked and I have plenty of the IN4148's as well. Is either more suitable than the other?

I don't think so but the 1N4148 will look more original

The factory diodes are 1N914 from memory. Fast switching germanium or something like that. Replace with 1N4148 as they are fast switching diodes suitable for the switch matrix.

Great, thanks for the confirmation Nino.

Below is a picture of 1 of the 2 playfield transistors on this machine.  Question is, is this a suitable replacement for it?
http://www.rtbb.com.au/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=22_88_145&products_id=1378

Original is 80 volt 10 amp and this one is 80 volt 15 amp. I'm not sure if that matters.

Anyone have a list of coils or the game manual for this machine that you'd be willing to sell? I have the "1980 parts catalog" only but it doesn't list the coils. Thanks.

I'm looking for a flipper kit for the upper 2 flippers on Count-down. The one I think is the correct one is this one http://www.pbresource.com/rebuildkit.html#KT-GFLIP01
Suits Gottlieb games Gypsy Queen 1/55 through to Lariat 9/69. Count-down is 10 years later which is why I a little hesitant. Anyone able to confirm please?

This is what the upper 2 flipper assembles look like.

Email Steve or Jimmy at PBR - I seem to recall you need that kit, but with different Coil Stops - same setup as Genie. They will know and advise.
