Title: Lost sound tone after repinning - Close Encounters
Post by: Klondike on March 24, 2017, 02:35:45 AM
Hi
After repinning my Close Encounters, it now doesn't have any sound from the '100' points targets and at start up. I'm not sure where to look as I don't have a manual but was hoping someone could steer me to the wiring harness and wires that might be the culprits. I also don't have scoring on the centre 'B'lane and the centre roto target which I thought might be related.
Thanks in advance.

Fixed the '100' sound. Just the middle roto target and middle 'B' lane not scoring...oh and the usual playfield lights that stay on continuously.

Would the middle roto and middle upper lane be connected? Would this be a driver board issue as well as the playfield lights?

Hi Eddie,
Might pay to reflow the solder on all diode boards under the playfield.  (Gtb uses several small boards to mount all the switch diodes).

Sorry I've been dragging my feet on this. Not much experience with this system and don't have a manual either.

Steve
