Title: Stern Trident

I have acquired a stern trident project.

Am i missing small transformer??

Mine just has the large main transformer.
Tried to put up a pic for you but said file was too large or something like that.

Thanks man, after searching the internet for images. I thought it only has one as well.
I think someone for moved something. Will check this after noon. Hoping is complete.

Look like the Transformer Board  came out of a Flash Gordon Pinball Machine


Flash Gordon Pinball has two transformers, large and small

I'd suggest the missing transformer is the Step Down transformer ?

What power plug was on the machine and what coin plates are installed on the coin door ?

My guess is they have just moved the transformer - put a Bally one in and the wires were too short...

Is an Australian Leisure and Allied built game.

It now appears to be the Power Rectifier that was moved.
So all good so far..i was dreading finding a transformer for it.

The Power Rectifier has one side on one rectifier shorted and leaking ac. So looks like i will attempt to refurb it. So voltages are in spec.

I replace one coil, fix transistor on the driver board, replaced a bridge rectifier on the power supply. Put in an Alltek Mpu and is partially working.
Now no sound, replace caps, waiting on some ic to repalce and then retest.

Insert lights are erratic , most are on permanently on, not sure what is causing this? Tried a spare lamp board same problem?
Any ideas were to check?

If you've got a logic probe or multimeter, check pin 1 on any of the 4514 chips on the Lamp Diver board. If this signal is stuck high (or measures close to 5 volts), you've got a connector issue with the the Orange-White wire between the MPU board J1 Pin 11 and the Lamp Driver Board J4 Pin 13. An open circuit on this signal will cause most of the feature lamps to appear on or flicker.

Connectors connectors connectors, after giving the connectors a good clean. Most of the feature lamps are now working.
My machine suffers from green slime (pigment leeching from some coloured wires) .
The game is now playable. Just need to sort out the sound board, one transistor not firing, and some lamps not working , and one display.
