Title: Interesting drop target issue
Post by: pinball god on February 11, 2018, 10:47:34 PM

My Embryon has done this 3 times now over say 100 odd games. Never had this problem pre playfield resto and installation of new drop targets. The centre top 3 bank drop has over extended when resetting. Easily fixed but I'd like to fix the problem not the symptom.
Is there any logical reason why this is happening and a once and for all fix? thanks

The reset link is being forced too high and is slipping out of it's guide.

This can be caused by weak DT springs (SP-100-314), the spring shaft being located in the incorrect position, or missing entirely, or excessive wear on the plunger or coil stop.

If it is one DT, then check the spring. If it is random (any of the three), it would more likely be the plunger / coil stop.

Compare with the good DT bank. Should be something easy.

All looks ok and similar between the two 3 banks. Centre drop is the only target that sticks up so will order some springs from rtbb I think. Played a few games with one that must have knocked down all the top bank at least a dozen times and had no issue but it will occur again I am sure
