Title: T2 connector
Post by: Crashramp on February 12, 2018, 06:02:47 PM
Hi guys,
Could someone verify the position of the wires on connector J120 on the Power Driver Board in Terminator 2 please?
I pulled the connector out and didn’t realise some stage someone has re-pinned it using the wrong connector pins and they’ve just come out of the connector. I was looking at it at the time so I think I have them sitting in the right spot but not 100% sure.

Connector J121 located directly below J120 is the same and I have a feeling some of the wires are in the wrong connector. If someone could take a picture of both of these that would be great.

mate I haven't owned a T2 for ages and here is a low res photo of my backbox. My J120 and J121 where connector opposite to yours but also your wiring is different. You can just make it out on my photo for the solid coloured wires.

I will need to scour more memory chips as I know I have vid and closer shots. Hopefully someone has some handy now though

check out page 3-9 of the schematics which lists the wire colours and pins. This may help

What was happening with the original wiring. Did you turn it on or did you check here first

I’m really not sure what was going on with it. I just happened to be looking in the back box and noticed one of the wires half hanging out of a connector. When I checked the other wires around it, they were all lose too.

From what I could tell both connectors had been changed at some stage and little tabs on the connector pins which keep the pins from falling out of the connector had been flattened so the wires just slipped in and out of the connectors. At some stage some of these wires must have come out and they’ve just been sat back into the wrong location.
