Title: This "Could" be my new games room!
Post by: Rod71 on May 19, 2009, 04:10:46 PM
The missus and I have been on the hunt for a new place to live for a while now. Below are some pics of the dedicated games room that could be ours if the planets align  %.%

The room is 8 x 6

Obviously all the stuff inside is the current owners.

Wish us luck!

I estimate 6 - 8 pins fitting in there - all depends on whether you want a Billiard table  %.%

Best of luck with the purchase - let us know if you get it  *%*

That my friend is a possibility. Would be awesome in summer, as there's a pool off the deck, and a big portable spa up the back. Which i'm pretty sure will be staying with the house  ^^^

That is inside the house, I'm sure he would fit the same number again on the deck  :D

Decided to give the place a miss.

Main factor was living so close to high tension power lines which are behind the property.

Obviously buying property is a huge undertaking, and if you have any doubts what so ever, you should walk.

Oh well. The hunt continues  ^^^

Thanks guys!

Yeah it's a shame. Really did love the house and all it's features. But with the high voltage lines out the back it was like. Hmmm "What if"

What if some time down the track they DO make some connection with health problems/cancer etc. It would mean we've been living there and exposed to it, and obviously the value of the property would drop to $0.

Also, could you imagine living there for a few years and God forbid one of us came down with some terminal illness. What is the obvious thing to blame?, and you'd think to yourself. Shit, we made the wrong decision!.

Anyway. Below is a youtube video which pretty much sums it up. At the end of the day i was asking myself. Why would i purposely move and live next to something like that.

High tension powerlines bugger!!, in this current market buyers have a greater selection of real estate to choose from, don't be in any hurry keep searching...

Have tried the fluoro under high voltage power lines and it does light up. As you said, the trouble is if they ever do find a link between HV power lines and health problems then your property is pretty much worthless.
