Cabinet after respray, got the stencils from Pinball Pal in the US.
Playfield in the second pic is not the one out of this machine. I used it to practice the maylar removal.
Found heat work better than the cold spray.

Hi

Did you use Heat Gun to remove mylar? The playfield artwork is awesome, should come up a treat  ^^^

Cheers
Dave

Hi Dave,

Used a hair dryer, found that the freeze lifted paint off with the maylar, probably due to the age of the playfield.

Looks great mate.
I was recently contacted by another member here about a Paragon cab I did using the PinbalPal Stencils a couple of years ago
I HIGHLY recommended the stencils and these shots of yours proves that again.

Congrats  @@*

Keep the pics coming

That is sweet - are you going to put the 'speckle' back on the cab as per the original design?

Keep up the reports, love to see a classic Bally being brought back to its former glory.  Great player too ^^^

cheers

WoW thats looking great so far.

Paragon is one of my all time faves. The gameplay, the artwork everything.

How did you do the colour matching on the cabinet? Are there paint codes listed somwhere for this or did you have to individually get the paint matched at a paint shop using samples off the cab?.

Also, just noticed the Lost World in the background which has similarities in the artwork, especially the backglass.
Personally I prefer the girl on the Paragon BG as she has better tits and is a bit more "wenchy" :lol

Looking forward to seeing how this one comes up, thanks for posting the progress and the pics.

Well done. Can't wait to see the final product. You did the right move using heat. Everything I read on mylar removal pointed to heat and use freeze on later machines especially with diamond plate/clearcoat.

Fantastic results  ^^^

Was the game that got my Brother-in-Law Anthony (pinballahq) involved with pinball hobby.

His is the nicest original Paragon in Australia (and maybe seriously the World)...and I picked it up for $100  *%*

It is THAT nice....a 10/10 all round.....not even a mark on the cabinet  *%*

Thank for all the great feedback, the machine has come up great.

Was thinking about it  *.*, Need to find a nice straight door to replace this one. And get a nice new Bally sticker.

Just going to leave the cabinet as it is now, looks really nice. Dont want to stuff it up trying to recreate the speckles.

Matching the yellow was a pain, took a sample to the paint shop. They got it close, kept adding white until i got it matching.

For the red and blue I used White Knight spray cans Royal Blue and Cherry Red (Thanks to Wotto for the info on how he did his Paragon)

Underneath of the playfield looks nice and clean now, Also Paragon area with mylar removed..not to much to fix

looking good, any new photos or updates on how the machine is going.
I have stripped mine, need to re spray the cabinet and maybe take the myler off.
Looking at how well yours has come up shows how they can look with a lot off work.
How did the go with the coin door and sticker?
cheers Gav

Will post some more pics after we move house....been to busy over the last 4 months getting the current place ready to sell.
Paragon is tucked away in the garage, will take some more pic when I get it out to be moved.

Have it all back together and did get to play a few games.

I've been playing mine continuously over the last two weeks. This title never gets boring. I will never sell mine.  ^^^

I think I'd go nuts if I could not play it for an extended period of time.
