Title: start of shed
Post by: big dog on September 19, 2009, 05:25:01 PM
most Concreate down with hold down bolts and now it's time to cut those rusty UB beams up. It's been a while in planning but with dan's shed finished it's made me pick my game up.So with a little help from my son we mark out those beams ,cut em up,ready to sand, grind , wire brush the rust off, I hope. thanks to a good friend for a lend of his fork lift .My wife has had enough of them pins in the house and she wants them "out of her house" , "It's not my house any more those things have taken over ". well it's happening, in the next 12 months I hope. !@#

Jeez, I thought I had it good with an 18MX6M converted shearing shed!
Pinnie sheds are becoming an Aussie icon.
Years later people are going to ask " whats that shed for?"- "it's a pinnies shed, everybody had them!".

Love your humor daics3522 - my wife couldn't stop laughing either!!

Hey CruiserMan...that sounds like a plan  @@*(I'll be sure to keep you all informed on the Christening Meet).  Won't be till well into next year or beyond...a major project to do and find the time for!!

Shed size is 7.5mtrs wide x 16mtrs long - sorry to dissapoint you with the size, but it is 7.5mtrs eave height.  I hope to mezzanine above the pinballs and leave a 4mtr roof height.  Hoping to fit 16 plus pool table

well done a bit of work on the columns.
1 photo showing Brendon how I'd like them welded
2 photo Having a go on his own
3 photo After spending 6 hours + grinding sanding wire brushing the beam to a bright silver then some more hours welding lugs ,brackets and base plate + drilling holes. This shed gunna take much longer than my dreaming said it would. !@)

Great stuff, remember awhile ago when "the sign" was transported home and was fired up (springfield-simpsons had a meltdown)I think the overall responce was thats gonna have to be a big shed to have that sign. I think it's called reverse engineering??. be great to see the end result. ^^^

Its just not fair.
I mean most of us poor buggers are lucky to have half a garage to put our pins in.
And look at the size of the shed they are making the beams in.

Just having some fun Cam.
Well done.
Its going to be great when its finished.
the only problem you will have is trying to find enough pins to fill it.

Techically speaking, when does a "Shed" become a "Hangar" ?  !@#

I think the answer is if u can drive a plane into it, its no longer a shed, but more like a Hangar which denotes size. Thats bloody big !

Here is a Hangar the same size as your one !  picture below >

p.s - well done on the work !

Some flight simulators would go well in the back corners. Atari Hercules would fit well in one of these. Some racking up top would not go astray for all the empty Stern boxes.

sorry it's a jet it won't fit, Nino. The end result will be used in charity nights as I did at home but parked out the street. I hope to help charities and people who need some help for a good cause. Lots of locals are keen to see it happen, the ones at home were great as people respected the games and not trashed them(not to much) . Every one was there for a good time and raise money for a good cause, the atmosphere  and feeling of doing some good for people ....PRICELESS........
