Title: How to cook your plastics in the oven...no more warp
Post by: ROLLERBALL on October 24, 2009, 10:55:23 PM
Thanks heaps Wotto...
he gave me the tips on fixing the warped plastics on my Elektra...

Oven set to 150c....put plastic on some grease paper on a tray....
Into the oven for 6mins....
wait till the plastic goes flat then pull it out
And I lay it down still on the paper and used a second bit of grease paper on top then squash it flat with some books for a few mins...
then all done...easy peasy japaneasy

before....

I recall reading Wotto's tips year ago - He even had pictures of the oven tray etc !

I've used this method a few times - and although it is a little "scary" - it does work VERY well.

Yeah it was pre heat...

And Wotto tells me on the phone...put the plastic in for about 6mins...

Sure enough EVERY plastic took exactly 6 mins to flatten...to the second...
