Title: WTB: Soldering Iron

Strange request?

Let me explain - I have bought a project pin for my 14 year old nephew who is autistic. The thing with Luke is all he talks about is electricity. So whenever he visits from Canberra all he wants to do is get into my gamesroom and look inside my games.

So I got offered a Gottlieb Buccaneer from 1976 cheapish and bought it and will give it to him just after Christmas when we visit.

So does anybody here have an old soldering iron they wish to sell?

Doesn't have to be a great one, just as long as it works.

If anybody can help please PM me.

Tony - Go for a drive to Dick Smith or Jaycar - they will have cheap "entry level" soldering irons and stations.

My Weller station died last month so I'm saving up for a Soldering / Desoldering station....

Wow!  He is going to remember this present for the rest of his life!!!  He is a very lucky young lad whom I'm sure will enjoy it...

The dude is cool, doesn't have a Dad and I kind of fill that void. My Sister in Law has been in my ear for awhile if I picked up a cheap pin and this one popped up.

Interested to see him come visit once and I opened up the bck door to Joker Poker - he was around 11 at the time. He knew more than I did and he just amazed me with what he knew.

Scored a soldering iron from Fair Dinkum Dan from AA - what a legend!
