Post by: beaky on September 23, 2010, 12:07:00 AM

I am able to Clone a seagate hard drive but not other brands.
Does any one know what software to use?
worst case i can install Linux on a spare hard drive and then clone the Hard drive that i need to clone but i don't even know what software i would use to clone it.

Any Ideas?

Ghost will do it....you could download (its all over the net)  "Hirens Boot CD" which is self booting and contains several cloning progs including ghost.

Acronis drive image - for people who can't get Ghost to work...

Later versions of Partition Magic should do this trick as well.

I use Acronis as well. Doesn't care what OS it's copying.
