Title: Roadshow: Reds eye lids broken
Post by: 63wizz on February 08, 2011, 07:27:21 PM
I purchased a project Red & Ted Roadshow a couple of months ago, and have got it running properly, except for the sound board, im using the board out of my Flintstones at the moment.
Any way the eye lids didnt work in either of the talking heads, so i pulled out Reds head and found the actuator arm was broken off the eye lids and missing, i was hoping to find it in the bottom of the cabinet. The eye lids are available at $38 a set.
I then Pulled Teds head out to see what the damage was, Removing Teds head is a major event. Teds Eye lids were intact and had a burnt coil, this was the only reason his lids didn't work.
Because i had Ted and Reds lids out i decided to make up an actuator arm, copying Teds lids, saving $38 bucks.
This is how it turned out. The lids are in and working fine after a couple hundred games.
