Hi All
This post started due to a challenge put out there by MUD and suggested by pinnies4me in the suggestions section to start a thread in this category - sounds like fun so here goes.
Idea - A Fun Challenge for others to beat your score on a pinball, and maybe we can list a number of pinballs here also and start a new section if it goes well.
You must state:
- manufacturer
- game year
- your game
- 3 or 5 balls game setup
- score
- photo proving that you achieved the score
Therefore I will start off with a photo attached.
- White Water / Williams
- 5 balls with no free balls offered in set up
- 327,485, 680 points
As of 29-3-12 this post will be the updated score keeping instead of a attached spreadsheet. This will be in order of manufacturer and then year to stay in sync with other sections of the forum. Once the top 3 scores are in and if a fourth comes along it will bump a high score without a photo as well as any low scores with a photo.

A quick game one Monday morning before work turned into something epic!! Ended up getting 2.1B on the 1st ball - mainly achieved by getting the Whirlpool mode absolutely nailed, i seemed to be able to get it timed spot on so a ball would eject onto the right flipper, bouce to the left and slot it up the centre shot, just as the popper would shoot the other ball onto the upper playfield to get it in the whirlpool - i think i ended up getting whirlpool jackpots of over 100M. Then i choked on the last couple of balls
End score 2.291 Billion

Actually, your score still stands as you used 5 ball setting.

Back in 1992 I got my highest score ever on a Pinball Machine and enterd it in a pinball comp. You had to get a certen high score to go into the playoff round of the Timezone pinball comp of 1992.
Came second, but was not good enough at that time to go on to the next round.
Took a pick of this Williams the Getaway with my high score in a local milk bar at the time.

I now have my own Williams The Getaway and over the two years I have oned it I have come close to my all time high score but never beat it.......

For quick reference I thought a quick spread sheet would help until we get a section of our own it is liked.
Remember to send your photo and ball number in play to go up on the board along with your game specs.
And it's all for fun and it just gets you out in the shed to have another go.

PinPal let me know via a personal email that it was a 3 bay game with some bonus balls scored during the game.

I have another idea also to include on the spreadsheet,
Getaway for example has a "Loop Champion" number recorded Ill kick it off with 5 loops %.%
im sure their will be better than this!

I know where you are coming from but we still need to encourage people to post there scores with photos etc before we add more details - definitely keep it in the memory banks for the moment. - what's your score for Getaway, have you got a photo - still 2nd and 3rd place position for grabs.

No Probs Jady,
Heres my pretty ordinary HSTD on Getaway 3 ball MEDIUM Level Game defaults.
Have had better scores but no proof !@#
recently installed L5 software chip (had L2) that resets your machine to defaults automatically...beware of this everyone!

Pinpal, the L5 is supposed to be les "buggy" but im not too convinced.
My machine has done some strange things during games with the L2 chip,
fer example extended Freerides during multiplayer requiring machine to be reset,
and diverting the lit supercharger instead of entering accellerator (L5 still seems to do this anyway!),
one of the biggest differences is L5 doesnt have the "RUN THE RED" animation on the Dmd when the red light lock is lit,
which is strange as this is quite a cool feature Imho...
Also I think the Dissapear post for the ball lock seems delayed more between ball traps,often dumping all 3 balls when only should be returning one!
in its defence my Post mech is in need if a coil sleeve and the flipper bush mod to get it working 100% again,seemed to work better in L2,go figure..
so honestly prob not worth the 10-15 bucks for the upgrade,I will prob go back to L2 it doesnt seem that bad..

Hi Guys & Girls
I just got this score on The Shadow dont know how good it is because I havent even had it a week yet but it is higher than any of the other high scores in there and the shadow did tell me I was his "best agent" at the end of the game. Set to 5 balls and I didn't win an extra, thats about all I can tell you about the settings.
Can someone let me know if this is a good score for The Shadow??? It did beat Dave's (silver ball) highest score....I got the game from him.

Nearly gave up on this game as too hard to complete - well I haven't completed it (wizard mode was the next thing to get but wasted 2 balls without triggering it). This game is really starting to grow on me. Got to Presto-Changeo - just had to hit the colour changing ball to get the wizard mode - maybe next time!!

I don't like to brag && but after I did sum repairs to My Williams Getaway I gave it a clean, fine tuned it and Played a 3. Ball Game.
And I got this high score ^^^ Still a long way from my all time high score but getting closer!!

As for me, not that i usually play for scores (As odd as that sounds), but my only recollection is on Stellar Wars, 3 ball, 666,660. (no pix sorry).
I was bummed out that it wouldnt go to 666,666 but then realised the points only increment in 10's not 1's ;-(

This reminds me of the arcade documentary called "The King of Kong" if anyone knows it?
The champion needs to defend his title but has no video proof, and sent in a tape he edited together because he's too cool to attend the live playoff, while the up'n'coming challenger happily played 'live' in front of everyone to smash the champions record........funny doco, well worth a look into the weirdo side of arcading hehehehehe

High Score update, Just got this score on my Getaway 396,913,550 on a 3 ball game with a couple of Xtra balls thrown in and a Super Jackpot. Just stoped short of my 2nd highest.

AJ that game on Getaway sure was a loooooong game ,
once youve run the red and got the Jackpot and hopefully snagged a super Jackpot,
Then you sort of start from scratch again....

Yep Fps a tough mistress I recon an average game is prob in the range of 100-300k on 3 balls,
every once in awhile you get in the zone and make all the shots count and pull off a few death saves and the good scores come *%*
Now to work on T2......

Can I ad my Bally Party Zone to The King Of Pin Please, 225.710.060 1992 Bally Party Zone 3. Ball game. Rev L3
This is the best score I have had in ages on my Party Zone, you have to no when to get the big points at the right time as some of the modes in the game are timed. There is one mode I love and its "Million Pops" when that is lite for each time the ball strikes the pop bumper you get 1.Million Points. and its even better when the 2x playfeild value is lite to.

Played CFTBL alot lately and had a good one recently, scoring the jackpot special, whirlpool 4 times, multiball 3 times and 1st time ever played the video game fighting the guy, It was a hard work type of game going 15 minutes but loved it.

I got too pissed to post a competitive score.....Roundball dropped over for a look and a few games on the Ironman...naturally we had a couple of beers... and well I kept on drinkin and drinikin and drinkin.... #@#

The factory set grand champ hs is 75mil... so bloody close!...I have knocked all other scores off except for the grand champ, oh well time for a few games.

I just got 31.5 mil getting Jericho mode so that was cool. biggest challenge is standing for a while with the knee. The scoring seems harder from the version 1.1 up to 1.6 now... good to have a challenge.

You might need a stool to sit on to take some pressure off your knee while you play?
I remember after I had my shoulder surgery last april...doctor said no pinballs for a month or two until you get your strength back and you shoulder out of the sling.....I was playing again after 2 days.... #@#...the temptation was just too strong...luckily I did no further damage to my shoulder.
Jericho missile mayhem is cool isn't it...do or die is pretty insane as well....this game is a real challenge to get through in 1 ball and is my fav player ever thus far.
Looking forward to seeing what stern bring out next.

I got Do or Die and Jericho wizard modes in one ball ( finally!!) and knocked GS( i guess that must be gary stern as gs is top score on all new sterns even though I doubt he plays them...benifit of being the boss) off the grand champ.

Daz that's awesome on IM, top score, I was so close to getting Jericho while in midst of do and die then lost the balls.

It always interesting to find out what happens when you clock a machine. A while back I clocked the Cactus Jack's and found out that the score doesn't count as a high score - to be expected I guess but disappointing all the same!

Let me give you a hint in achieving 300m plus scores, so that you're way ahead of little missy.
Instead of trying to complete FILM, to start multiball, try shooting the ball at the M saucer as many times as possible.
Focus on scoring those ramp shoots whilst The Big Millions is on. Keep repeating the process.

I have owned a couple of gillman's and this is the way to get the points up before settling into obtaining film and multiball.

I am unsold on the pro, it seems dull and missing something everytime I play it, have only played it about a dozen or so times but it just doesn't grab me..maybe just me...I dunno. I am a big fan of the theme( not the lame arse M Bay films...yawn) and was expecting more maybe I am wishing for too much.
Having said that it's better than acdc pro but that wouldn't be hard.

Transformers is a Cactus Canyon in disguise - Similar shot layouts.
Don't mind the TFLE. Actually enjoyed watching the Trans2 movie last week on tv. Wanna watch the 3rd on DVD.
Talking pinball now.
One thing I don't like is the 3rd ball lock - me thinking its going to be Multiball time, but no - another deadly shot is needed.
Also, I don't get the double in lane lights???
Can someone explain to me what the deal is here.
The shaker motor works well and feels great.

Appreciate the tip mate ^^^ .. So far I'm finding the 'M' shot one of the hardest for some reason .. also trying to shoot the right ramp multiple times .. in fact its 8AM here and she is already out there playing Creech trying to beat my score :lol

Can't wait for my kids to grow up and have the same battles your having.
Regarding the M shot - try practice flipping the ball from right flipper to left, then execute.
Another cool shot is the back-hand flip. This tends to work for me when the ball is coming out of the pop bumbers at a decent momentum. Hold flipper in, let ball bounce up, then execute.

I actually bettered my high score on Creature the other day (330 mil + change ) but before I could take a pic and post it here my arch nemesis (my daughter Jade) came along the very next day and smashed it with 475mil + change !!!

I'll let her know you are impressed and yeah , 'likes it' is an understatement . She doesn't even play Firepower anymore , but then again, she has the high score on that too !!! (around 960K)

At end of ball 2 1st mutiball had just finished . Score around 560K .
Had 2 locks lit , with one ball locked and 3 targets to hit to light the 3rd lock . Didn't think I had a hope in hell but I did it . #*# #*#

Just managed to miss out on the Billion on Jurassic Park, but it was fun anyway!! Love System Failure, a really fun 6 ball multiball, a lot like Rule the Universe in AFM.

Well since no-body has put forward a TAF score I'll start the bidding, I'd cracked the magic billion a while ago but lost the score with a ROM upgrade so took a photo for historical purposes

Although it's not the highest score on this game here on AP I managed to finally pip Wotto off the top score board tonight. It's taken me 3 months but I finally did it $#$ but unfortunately no one was around to share it with !!!. Hence the reason I'm blabbering it on here.

I cracked clocking my space invaders pinball twice in a 3 ball game getting 2.29M. Love hearing the knocker going ballistic every time you pass a replay score and clocking it. Wish the game came standard with 7 digit displays *%*

AFM - best ball 1 ever for me (although that included all the extra balls collected getting there). Ruled the Universe twice before starting ball 2
What a buzz!!
As you can see, didn't progress too much after that - wrists were getting sore!
