Title: APR - Introduction post
Post by: Strangeways on May 02, 2012, 12:18:07 AM

First of all I'd like to thank everyone for their support since announcing my venture. More information will filter through as I move forward setting up, but here's some background to get me started.

Australian Pinball Restorations

APR is a small Business that specializes in pinball restorations, sales and repairs from all eras. It was formed in April 2011 from a Hobby Business and is now a full time venture located in Thomastown Victoria. By the end of December 2011, a Showroom and Workshop will be added to the current storage building in Reservoir. Operations will move there in Early 2013. For now, the workshop remains in Thomastown.

APR Services

I have 30 years experience in the industry mainly as a hobbyist. My Father was an amusement machine operator in Australia starting in 1951, so I have always been around pinball. I was repairing Pinball machines and Bingo machines at the age of 14. I specialize in Pinball restoration of Electromechanical and Solid State machines. I also recondition and restore DMD machines.

Pinball Restoration - If you own a game you want restored, then send it to me ! Whether it is one of your games currently in your collection, or you just bought it from a dealer or eBay, I can restore the game to a high standard. There are different levels of restoration depending on your requirements and budget. I can provide a quote and timeframe for the restoration. Restoration also covers board refurbishment. Every step of the restoration is conducted in house, and is documented.

Pinball Repairs - Onsite or at home. From flipper rebuilds to board diagnostics. You can also bring you machine to my workshop (coming soon). There are other services to be offered when I move premises. I can do home repairs at this point.

Pinball Sales - I have an inventory of over 75 Pinballs. All of these are from my personal collection that have been absorbed by the business. All of these games will be restored. I will not be selling games out of containers, or "as is" (at this point). All titles will be restored and sold. Pricing is not "market value" as the level of restoration will be different for each collector and machine. I don't recondition or restore machines to "market value" or "eBay value". My inventory covers games from 1966 - 2004, and will be increasing soon.. ..

Hopefully I can help you out in all ways pinball !

Nino

Agree with that 1000%
Owning 2 of Ninos games already I can truly vouch for their level of restoration/ quality - as can anyone who has been to my joint.

We are truly blessed here on Aussie Pinball having without a doubt the best restorers in the country as active members, and it's great to see Nino adding to our choices for restoration and restored games at a truly professional level.

Hi Nino,

Does APR offer playfield repair/clear coating services ?

Not "stand alone" - I only do my own games that I've imported. I'm not set up to do this "in house". If the game is EM / SS I might look at, but not the DMD games -  El-Timbo is the man for this kind of work  ^^^

Happy one year anniversary to APR  ^^^

Thanks mate ! It has been a gamble, but very rewarding.

Congratualtions Nino on the success of your Pinball restoration business.
It goes without saying your work is second to none.
You should be proud that you have turned your dream job into exactly that.
Hoping for many more years of great Pinball restorations from APR.
